MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Just days after it released the latest satisfaction and trust survey on President Rodrigo Duterte, the polling group, Social Weather Stations (SWS) announced it was filing for bankruptcy.
The SWS decision was prompted by new, emerging online technology which enables individuals to conduct online polling involving as many as 20,000 respondents.
SWS surveys normally involves up to 1,500 respondents chosen at random.
Many have questioned the polling group’s methodology, politics and its “leading questions” in their surveys.
A recent online survey on Facebook showed overwhelming distrust of Senator Antonio Trillanes who said that the recent SWS survey showing a drop in Duterte’s approval and trust ratings shows that “Filipinos are starting to see the light.”
Another online survey is now gathering votes to determine the true satisfaction and trust ratings of Duterte.
”We cannot complete with online surveys on Facebook, Survey Monkey or Polldaddy,” an SWS spokesman told The Adobo Chronicles.
