MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – In protest of the reported partnership between Facebook and Rappler as well as Vera Files on fact-checking news on social media, many pro-Duterte bloggers and netizens are planning to leave Facebook altogether.
The Adobo Chronicles talked with both major and minor bloggers as well as Facebook account holders who are all die-hard supporters of the President, and they not only confirmed the plan for a mass exodus from Facebook but also expressed their unanimous decision to move to the new social media platform: Grindr.
So if you’re following Thinking Pinoy, Mocha Uson, Maharlika and other bloggers, you might want to start exploring Grindr lest you will be left out.

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – A day after wet ballots were discovered during the recount in connection with Bongbong Marcos’ electoral protest against Vice President Leni Robredo, Senator Risa Hontiveros has put forward a no nonsense proposal.
Hontiveros’ bill will authorize the Commission on Elections to produce waterproof ballots starting with the 2019 elections.
”This will prevent future incidents of tampering and other ballot irregularities,” Hontiveros told The Adobo Chronicles.
LONDON, United Kingdom (The Adobo Chronicles, Berlin Bureau) – The tech gurus at BBC have deveoped an interactive video game for young people to help them detect fake news on mainstream and social media.
But alas, the game backfired on BBC.
In the final segment of the video game, players were asked to check from a list of news sources which ones they think are purveyors of fake news.
Among those checked by game players were: New York Times, Enquirer, CNN.
And… BBC News.
Is this a case of young people biting the hands of those who feed them?
