Philippine Manufacturers Race To Produce Karaoke Machines That Generate Electricity

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Taking their cue from a high school science project that found noise can generate electricity, leading electronics manufacturers in the Philippines are racing to produce the next generation karaoke and videoke machines.

It is a well-known fact that karaoke and videoke machines are as common in households as a television set, a testament  to the world-renowned musicality of the Filipinos.

A spokesperson for a leading manufacturer said the if every household can have their own high-level-sounding karaoke machines running full blast, they would not have to worry about paying for electricity. “That would be quite a bit of savings,” he said.

The manufacturers are now lobbying local governments to repeal ordinances prohibiting noise — including karaoke singing in residential neighborhoods after 10 p.m. All for the benefit of free electricity, they said.

And many sleepless nights.

Ferdinand E. Marcos Among World Leaders To Be Brought Back To Life By Scientists

WASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles, Washington Bureau) – US biotechnology company  Bioquark has been given permission to recruit 20 clinically dead patients and attempt to bring their central nervous systems back to life.

For starters, Bioquark decided to recruit 20 dead world leaders for their debut study.

Former Philippine President Ferdinand E. Marcos was among those chosen by Bioquark, along with Adolf Hitler, Martin Luther King, John F. Kennedy,  Mahatma  Ghandi and Pope John Paul VI.

The news didn’t sit well with self-proclaimed investigative journalist Raissa Robles, author of the bankrupt book, “Never Again.”

Senator Cythia Villar Urges Government To Utilize Albularyos, Manghuhulas

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Commenting on the budget request from the Department of Agriculture for agricultural research, Senator Cynthia Villar urged the Government to utilize albularyos (folk, herb  doctors) and manghuhulas (fortune tellers) instead.

During a recent Senate budget deliberation, Villar questioned the need to put more money into research, saying: “Bakit  parang lahat ng inyong budget puro research? Baliw na baliw kayo sa research. Aanhin ninyo ba ‘yung research?  (Why is your budget all about research? You’re crazy about research.  Of what use is research to you?)

Speaking with The Adobo Chronicles, Villar said the government should utilize our indigenous experts more — the albularyos and manghuhulas — to help plan and implement government programs. “It literally costs just pennies,” she said.

Is a Nobel Prize in store for Villar in the field of science, medicine, economics or technology for her earth-shattering idea?
