WASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles, Washington Bureau) – The Commission on Presidential Debates has announced a change of schedule for the second debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. It was originally scheduled at 9 p.m. Eastern on Sunday night.
The debate in St. Louis, Missouri, will last 90 minutes and be conducted in a “town hall” format featuring questions from undecided voters, moderated by CNN’s Anderson Cooper and ABC’s Martha Raddatz.
The commission told The Adobo Chronicles that the debate will be moved out of prime time and rescheduled for midnight the same day.
The decision by the commission came after the explosive audio tape of Trump surfaced in which he bragged to TV host Billy Bush about kissing and groping women. In that audio tape, Trump actually mentioned the word “p*ssy.”
Because the presidential debates are supposed to be rated G (for general audiences), the commission saw it fit to move it to midnight. It said that the Trump audio is sure to be brought up by Clinton and it would be unwise to allow minors to be listening to an exchange where “p*ssy” would constantly be mentioned.
The commission advised parents to make sure that their children who are not yet of legal age be put to bed before the start of the midnight debate.
