Missosology Re-brands With A New Name: MissedSoSology

IMG_6716.PNGTOKYO, Japan (The Adobo Chronicles, Tokyo Bureau) – Missosology is the number one pageant-related online community forum that covers Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss International and other major beauty competitions. It has been a recognized authority on pageants.

So when Missosology posted its final predictions on who it thought will win the 2016 Miss International crown in Tokyo, Japan, Filipinos started getting depressed.  Miss Philippines, Kylie Verzosa was not among the top 5 picks. Not even the top 15.

IMG_6715.PNGBut the rest is history. Verzosa bested more than 60 other contestants to win the title of 2016 Miss International yesterday.

Embarrassed by its gaffe, Missosology today announced it was changing its name to “MissedSoSology.”

Quite appropriate, indeed.

SILICON VALLEY, California (The Adobo Chronicles, San Jose Bureau) – Unfriending or unfollowing someone on Facebook just became a whole lot easier, thanks to Apple’s newly-unveiled keyboard.

The new keyboard which will become standard with all Apple computers and laptops going forward, has an ‘Unfriend’ key colored red. It’s also three times the size of the rest of the keys. It’ll be hard to miss.

The new keyboard is not yet available as a built-in feature for iPhones and iPads but is expected to be one of the new features for the next generation of these mobile devices.

So the next time a Facebook friend or follower pisses you off, press the red button and that friend or follower is history. Instantly!

Miss Philippines, USA Choose Trump Over Clinton

The new Miss Grand International from indonesia

LAS VEGAS, Nevada (The Adobo Chronicles, Las Vegas Bureau) – Despite all the talk about Donald Trump barging into dressing rooms full of naked beauty pageant contestants, not all aspiring beauty queens are against him. Like Miss Philippines and Miss USA.

The top five candidates at the Miss Grand International 2016 were dealt a polarizing question for the final portion of the pageant in Las Vegas, Tuesday night (Wednesday in Manila).

Each beauty queen was tasked to choose between US presidential candidates Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton for help in stopping war and violence, which is the main thrust of Miss Grand International.

Miss USA drew loud boos from the crowds for picking Trump and similarly, the Philippines’ bet Nicole Cordoves was also loudly heckled.

Puerto Rico, Thailand, and Indonesia chose Clinton and gave her high praise for advancing women’s rights.

Miss Indonesia Ariska Putri Pertiw won the crown while Trump girl Miss Philippines was first runner-up, a forboding of the results of the presidential elections in two weeks.

The only difference? The margin that separated the new Miss Grand International and the first runner-up was almost too close to call.

Unlike the elections where Clinton is expected to win by a landslide.
