Kris Aquino Misread Hollywood Film Casting Call

IMG_0961.PNGHOLLYWOOD, California (The Adobo Chronicles, Los Angeles Bureau) – After all the social media hype, news reports and speculation, loyal fans of former talk show host and presidential sister Kris Aquino were shocked and disappointed that their idol isn’t one of the main cast members named for an upcoming Hollywood film, “Crazy Rich Asians.” This major Hollywood film based on the novel by best-selling author Kevin Kwan, will have an all-Asian cast.

IMG_0957IMDb, Hollywood’s official repository of film projects, reveals the names of the cast of the new film, including Constance Yu, Michelle Yeoh, Gemma Chan, Awkwafina and Sonoya Mizuno, but no Kris Aquino.

Still, fans are hoping that rumors indicating that Aquino will play an Asian princess 👸  in the film are true.

However, sources close to the Philippines’ Queen of All Media say that Aquino misread the casting call invitation she received.  Indeed, she was invited to play the role of an Asian princess but not in Hollywood. The invitation came from Bollywood.

Blogger Raissa Robles Volunteers To Raise Philippine Flag In Disputed Island

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – She loves her country so much, she wrote a book to make sure Martial Law in the Philippines will not be repeated.  She also criticized Philippine soldiers for not being able to raise the Philippine flag in the disputed Pagasa Island in the South China Sea.IMG_4037 Now, blogger Raissa Robles is putting action where her mouth is.

In an exclusive interview with The Adobo Chronicles, Robles said she was volunteering to do the flag raising herself.  All she needs is a jet ski that would take her from Manila Bay to the South China Sea.  Other than that, she is not asking for any special accommodation, not even security for her adventure to Pagasa Island.

Few anti-Duterte fanatics would even venture to suggest that they personally undertake such a dangerous mission.  But that’s Raissa, a true patriot and icon of freedom and democracy.

She’s being true to her name Raissa = Raise the flag.
