Honeylet Avancena Breaks Silence On Viral Video Showing Duterte Kissing A Lady On The Lips In South Korea

5012D607-4A1C-4C5A-8402-E216C44B9043DAVAO CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Rodigo Duterte’s common law wife, Honeylet Avancena, finally broke her silence a day after a video went viral showing the President kissing a Filipina lady on the lips during his meeting with the Filipino community in South Korea.

The video elicited comments from both Duterte critics and supporters, with the latter defending the President’s actions.

Today, The Adobo Chronicles spoke with Avancena by Skype and we asked her to comment on the controversial video. She said:

”He’s the President, so he can do as he pleases.  But I’m his wife, and I can do what I want at home.  So when he comes back from South Korea, Digong will be sleeping outside the kulambo for the next six months.”

(Outside the kulambo is a popular phrase used by Filipinos and usually refers to a husband banned from sleeping in the same bed as the wife as punishment for his misdemeanor.)

 

Malacañang: Senator Leila De Lima Is Free To Roam

0900BD17-0790-49D9-8C17-13A471A0DA5CMANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Malacañang is finally breaking its silence over the government’s furlough denial for incrcerated Senator Leila De Lima to attend her child’s graduation.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque told The Adobo Chronicles that contrary to claims, De Lima is not being persecuted.  “She is not in solitary confinement at Camp Crame.  In fact she is free to roam,” Roque said.

When asked to elaborate, Roque said, “the Senator is free to roam the Internet.  She has full access to her Facebook and Twitter accounts.”ED7D944B-062A-4659-83AD-15C26B7C9858

It wasn’t clear who is paying for the roaming charges incurred by De Lima from her jail cell.
