Did OVP Run Out Of Take-Out Boxes For Its Food Relief?

QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Quezon City Bureau) – The Office of Vice President Leni Robredo has all but perfected the art of photo ops to promote its programs and initiatives, but it may have shot itself in the foot when it posted photos of its recent food distribution in San Mateo, Rizal.

Robredo proudly posted photos of OVP’s relief program, distributing spaghetti to needing families.

But alas, netizens noticed that the spaghetti wasn’t even contained in take-out boxes, you know, like those you get when you order from Jollibee.

Many were also concerned that OVP’s distribution of cooked food may have violated sanitation and safety regulations by the Department of Health. “What if in the course of the day of distribution, some of the spaghetti may have already been spoiled,” one netizen asked.

Since it was merely for photo ops, it could have made more sense for OVP to distribute a bag of (uncooked) rice and a few canned food to the recipient families.

A total fail.

Leni Robredo Shows Off Her book Collection

QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Quezon City Bureau) – Philippine Vice President Leni Robredo has a comeback for her critics who call her “boba” (stupid), including Foreign Affairs Secretary Teddy Boy Locsin.

Robredo took to her social media account to boast of her book collection to prove that she is as intelligent and well-read as any of the country’s brilliant politicians.

What an impressive list she has — books authored by Hillary Clinton, Barack and Michelle Obama, Maya Angelou and Nelson Mandela.

Also included in her precious collection are the late Miriam Defensor Santiago’s book, “Stupid is Forever,” and “Sa Gitna ng Unos,” a comics book about her former running mate Mar Roxas who lost the 2016 Philippine Presidential Elections to Rodrigo Duterte.

Harry Roque Will be Banned in Baguio If City Reverts to GCQ

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Baguio City Bureau) – There are indications that the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) which includes Baguio City, could revert to the stricter General Community Quarantine (GCQ) because of, among other things, the rise in new Covid-19 cases.

Sources close to Mayor Benjie Magalang (also the IATF’s Contact Tracing Czar) told The Adobo Chronicles that the city is considering banning Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, who claims to be from Baguio,, from visiting the city, should GCQ is reimposed.

The sources said that Roque is known for violating quarantine and health protocol regulations including swimming with dolphins, karaoke singing in Baguio, and delivering a speech before a Cebu crowd that didn’t observe physical distancing.

Mayor Magalong is said to be very uncomfortable having Roque come to Baguio because of said violations, and endanger the health and lives of the city’s residents.
