MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – In a stunning public admission that could all but render Bongbong Marcos’ electoral protest moot and academic, Leni Robredo admitted she’s not 100% Filipino.

The admission basically disqualifies her to run for or occupy the position of Vice President.

In commenting about the recent deportation of Sister Patricia Fox, Robredo said that the Australian nun is “more Filipino than many of us,” a statement that puts in question her full Filipino citizenship and that of her own supporters who voted for her in the last elections.

Frigate: Senator Trillanes Wants Warrant Of Arrest Issued Against Former SAP Bong Go

CAA6D63B-AE37-4501-9C24-26D44A1CBCA5MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Now that President Rodrigo Duterte has publicly admitted that he personally acted on the complaint of South Korean Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) regarding the Philippine Navy’s multibillion-peso frigate system deal, Senator Antonio Trillanes wants the Senate to issue a warrant of arrest for former Special Assistant to the President Bong Go.

Go was accused of intervening in the deal on behalf of another supplier that he allegedly favored.

During  a previous Senate Hearing on the Frigate deal, Go, along with other Duterte adminsitration officials, personally appeared to deny the allegations.

”What he did was clearly in contempt of the Senate,” Trillanes said.  “One does not lie before the Senate after taking the oath to tell the truth and nothing but the truth.”

The Adobo Chronicles asked Trillanes where in the Senate Go should be detained.  “In my office, of course,” he responded.

Well, in the event Trillanes once again seeks refuge inside the Senate Building to avoid a possible warrant of arrest for him from Branch 148 of the Makati Regional Trial Court, then he would have a roommate.

This after a Makati court on Friday deferred issuing an arrest warrant against the former Navy officer for coup d’etat charges filed against him for his role in the 2003 Oakwood mutiny.

As he checked out of the Senate, Trillanes was handed a bill by the chamber custodian for a totl of P220,550.  (The amount is greater than the P200,000 bail the Senator posted following his arrest upon orders of Makati RTC Branch 150.) The breakdown:

The Adobo Chronicles asked the Senate Custodian for the basis in charging the lodging fee of P1,598.  He said that it was based on the average nightly rate at Sogo Hotels in Metro Manila.
