Is Ex-Comelec Chair Andy Bautista Finally Coming Home?

SAN FRANCISCO, California (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – It must have been his soul-searching during the Holy Week, or perhaps just an inspiration from Peter Pan, but ex-Comelec Chair Andy Bautista may finally be coming home to face his accusers.

Bautista has a pending arrest warrant from the Philippine Senate for ignoring a subpoena, as well as charges from his own wife about alleged unexplained wealth. Reports have it that he is in hiding in San Francisco or some other obscure places in the United States.

But based on his own tweet, Bautista may finally be coming home to clear himself or face up to his troubles.

ChatGPT Stealing Jobs From Journalists, Songwriters, Book Authors, Film Makers!

SAN FRANCISCO, California (The Adobo Chronicles, San Francisco Bureau) – Anyone can now become an instant journalist, songwriter, book author or film maker, thanks to ChatGPT.

ChatGPT’s advanced capabilities have created a huge demand with the ‘app’ accumulating over 100 million users within two months of launching. One of the biggest standout features has been its ability to compose all sorts of text within seconds, including songs, poems, bedtime stories, and essays.

As a result, many professionals are losing their jobs, and they are fighting back!

The Adobo Chronicles has learned that a worldwide coalition of the affected professions is now in the process of filing a class-action lawsuit against the makers of the app.

The lawsuit cites multiple violations including copyright infringement, plagiarism, unfair business practices; and is seeking trillions of dollars in compensation.

Anyone who wishes to join the class-action suit may contact NoChatGPT@ aol.com. Utmost patience is needed to get through requests and messages since the designated email uses dial-up technology — a big contrast to what ChatGPT can do in just seconds!

NAIA X-Ray Machines The Only Kind In The World!

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – The Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) may have earned notoriety due to airport hassles like “laglag bala” (implanted bullets), thievery by airport personnel and obnoxious required documentation for departing Filipino passengers, but it has one thing it is very proud of: its x-ray machines are the only kind in the world!

No other international airport can boast of screening machines that can detect contrabands that don’t exist while missing out on actual banned items in passenger luggages.

Case in point: airport authorities detected some contraband hidden inside a toy plane brought in by a returning overseas worker. It was a gift for her child in the Ilocos. Thanks to the unique x-ray machine and sniffing dog.

The box was opened in the presence of the passenger, but no contraband was found. As if that wasn’t enough, a customs officer used a hammer to break open the toy plane. Still, there was no contraband found.

So the next time you actually hide a banned item in your luggage, do not worry — it won’t be detected by the NAIA x-rays machines. They can only detect what doesn’t exist.

Very unique, eh?
