MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – She loves her country so much, she wrote a book to make sure Martial Law in the Philippines will not be repeated. She also criticized Philippine soldiers for not being able to raise the Philippine flag in the disputed Pagasa Island in the South China Sea.
Now, blogger Raissa Robles is putting action where her mouth is.
In an exclusive interview with The Adobo Chronicles, Robles said she was volunteering to do the flag raising herself. All she needs is a jet ski that would take her from Manila Bay to the South China Sea. Other than that, she is not asking for any special accommodation, not even security for her adventure to Pagasa Island.
Few anti-Duterte fanatics would even venture to suggest that they personally undertake such a dangerous mission. But that’s Raissa, a true patriot and icon of freedom and democracy.
She’s being true to her name Raissa = Raise the flag.
