Kennedy Estate To Sue Leni Robredo For Semi-Plagiarism

IMG_9834WASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles,Washington Bureau) – “Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country.” These were the famous words of one of the most-loved presidents of the United States — John F. Kennedy.

Some 7,000 miles away in the Philippines, a JFK wannabe is now being accused of semi-plagiarism.  And the Kennedy Estate is suing the Vice President of the Philippines.

Chito Gascon’s Lineage Could Hold Key To His Impeachment

IMG_3395.PNGMANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Despite his being a continuing nuisance to Rodrigo Duterte, Chito Gascon of the Philippines’ Commission on Human Rights (CHR) cannot be just fired by the president.  Gascon’s appointment and term of office are protected by the Constitution and the only way to give him the pink slip is through impeachment.

Well, impeachment may not be that far away for Gascon, after an independent genealogy research firm found that the CHR Commissioner is a blood relative of a former Nazi, Heinrich Himmler who pretty much oversaw the Holocaust.

The genealogy study concluded that Gascon and Himmler may have been siblings, separated at birth, and the research firm has the photo to prove it. (See photo)

By the way, The Adobo Chronicles can confirm that both pairs of eyeglasses were made in Germany.

Raissa Robles Launches New Martial Law Book

IMG_2887MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, San Francisco Bureau) – ‘Never Again.’ It has been the battlecry for those who were opposed to the dictatorial regime of the late Ferdinand E. Marcos, in obvious reference to decades of Martial Law under the deposed strongman.

It is also the title of the one and only book by self-identified ‘investigative journalist’ and blogger Raissa Robles.

But now, the battlecry — and Robles’ book — are moot and academic, after President Rodrigo Duterte declared Martial Law in Mindanao, a move upheld by both Congress and the Supreme Court.

So, what is Robles going to do?

Well, write another book, and she did.

The Adobo Chronicles learned from very reliable sources in San Francisco that Robles will soon launch a sequel to her first book.  This time, it will be titled, ‘Never Again and Again.’

The new book chronicles the failure of anti-Marcos elements to prevent a repeat of a Martial Law declaration in the Philippines.
