MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, San Francisco Bureau) – ‘Never Again.’ It has been the battlecry for those who were opposed to the dictatorial regime of the late Ferdinand E. Marcos, in obvious reference to decades of Martial Law under the deposed strongman.
It is also the title of the one and only book by self-identified ‘investigative journalist’ and blogger Raissa Robles.
But now, the battlecry — and Robles’ book — are moot and academic, after President Rodrigo Duterte declared Martial Law in Mindanao, a move upheld by both Congress and the Supreme Court.
So, what is Robles going to do?
Well, write another book, and she did.
The Adobo Chronicles learned from very reliable sources in San Francisco that Robles will soon launch a sequel to her first book. This time, it will be titled, ‘Never Again and Again.’
The new book chronicles the failure of anti-Marcos elements to prevent a repeat of a Martial Law declaration in the Philippines.
