ATLANTA, Georgia (The Adobo Chronicles) – CNN’s chief medical correspondent Sanjay Gupta puts medical marijuana under the microscope again with “Weed 3: The Marijuana Revolution” at 9 p.m. ET, Sunday on CNN.

The CNN Original Series  will explore the business of legal, recreational cannabis in Breckenridge, Colorado.

Among Gupta’s guests will be no less than President Obama who, sources say, will  announce his full support for  a nationwide legalization of weed for medical and recreational purposes.

Before the segment with the president ends, the sources say that both Gupta and Obama will smoke marijuana  — live on air — to prove that weed is no more harmful than legal alcohol.

In recent years, Gupta was rumored to be one of Obama’s choices for Surgeon General but that the CNN anchor chose to stay in television.

The entire nation will be tuning in to CNN this Sunday. It may be the show that will break all Nielsen rating records.

THE 3 A.M. CALL FROM HILLARY CLINTON TO PHILIPPINES’ SENATOR GRACE POE

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles) – In 2008, when Hillary Clinton was running against Barack Obama for the Democratic nomination for president, she launched a campaign TV attack questioning whether he would be ready to answer an emergency 3 a.m. call to the White House.

Well, it turned out that Clinton herself would never make that call since she didn’t win the nomination.  Since then, her critics have used that campaign message against her.

Fast forward to 2015. Clinton just answered a 3 a.m. call from Senator Grace Poe of the Philippines who is rumored to be eyeing the presidency of her country in 2016.

Inside sources within the Clinton campaign said that Poe called to seek Hillary’s advice about running a campaign.  Clinton convinced her to run for president, adding that it would be so cool if there were more women heads of state when Clinton attends international summits as president of the United States.

(In the latest national poll in the Philippines, Poe surged and closed in on front runner Vice President Jejomar Binay. In previous months, Binay had consistently maintained a significant lead in the polls, but recent allegations of corruption lodged against him and his son, Mayor Jojo Binay of Makati City have caused his ratings to plummet).

There is, however, one problem with Clinton’s 3 a.m. call with Poe:

3 a.m. in Manila is actually 3 p.m. on the U.S. East Coast from where Clinton answered the call.  Not to mention a difference of one day. So, it doesn’t count, really.

HILLARY PICKS BILL CLINTON AS VP RUNNING MATE!

NEW YORK, New York (The Adobo Chronicles) – While Republicans are struggling to pick their nominee for president in the 2016 U.S. presidential elections, the Democrats are in a conundrum on who will be their vice presidential nominee.

But it is up to Hillary Clinton, not the Democrats, to pick her running mate. On Sunday, Clinton officially declared her candidacy for president. No other Democrat has expressed any desire to challenge Clinton.

Today, in her home state of New York, Hillary announced that she has picked husband Bill to be her running mate.

The U.S. Constitution limits the presidential term to a total of eight years, so Bill is ineligible to run again for president. But the constitution says nothing about a two-term president running for vice president!

Capitalizing on this constitutional loophole, Hillary picked her husband as her VP running mate.

“I think this would be the ultimate dream team; ” Hillary told reporters, “the American people will get two presidents for the price of one!”

There are amendments to the constitution that vaguely address whether or not a former two-term president can seek the vice presidency, and the Republican National Committee — caught offguard by Hillary’s announcement — is scrambling to challenge her choice of running mate.

The final decision may eventually rest with the U.S. Supreme Court.

In the meantime, Americans get two “everyday heroes.” Clinton and Clinton.
