imageWASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles) – In a previous exclusive storyThe Adobo Chronicles reported that the U.S. Census Bureau was reclassifying Filipinos from ‘Asian’ to ‘Pacific Islander.’

Our story prompted the Census Bureau to responddenying that there was such a plan.

The Adobo Chronicles denies that we were serious about our story, but we thank the Census Bureau for this clarification and for being one of our followers.

Breaking: Obama To Nominate Himself To U.S. Supreme Court

imageWASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles) – It has been widely rumored that if elected next president of the United States, Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders will nominate Barack Obama to the first vacancy that will occur on the Supreme Court.

Well, that time has come with the passing of Justice Antonin Scalia.

The problem is, neither Clinton nor Sanders is president yet.

So today, The White House announced that President Obama will nominate himself to the highest court of the land, potentially assuring that the balance between conservative and liberals on the bench will tip towards the latter.

As expected, Republicans  will vigorously oppose the nomination.  They will spend all of their time doing so which means they will focus their attention away from the current presidential campaign. This will all but ensure that Hillary or Bernie will be elected president, who will, in turn re-nominate Obama if the GOP Senate rejects the self-nomination.

From POTUS to SCOTUS.

Filipinos Have No Choice But To Drive Without Driver’s Licenses

imageMANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles) – Everywhere you go, it is illegal to drive a motor vehicle without a government-issued driver’s license.  In the Philippines, the government is responsible for motorists driving without a license — card,  that is.

The Land Transportation Office (LTO), the counterpart of the U.S. Department of Motor Vehicles, has announced that by March this year, it will run out of the redesigned driver’s license cards, thanks to a third-party vendor it has contracted with to produce the plastics.

While drivers are issued temporary paper licenses,  many motorists complain that such licenses are often left in their trousers’ pocket to wash away with their laundry. Which means they have to go to LTO several times a year and deal with the long wait to get a replacement paper license.

This situation is brought to you by the Aquino administration’s Daang Matuwid (straight path) , a path full  of Filipinos driving without a (plastic) license!
