TRANSCRIPT: Trump-Duterte Phone Conversation, Part 2

IMG_0998.JPG

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – In a previous news story, we reported that the phone conversation between U.S. President Donald Trump and Rodrigo Duterte was cut short because the Philippines President’s mobile phone ran out of pre-paid load and data. It was during that conversation that Trump formally invited Duterte to visit the U.S. and The White House.

It now appears that Duterte’s assistant, Bong Go, offered his personal mobile phone so that the two leaders can continue their conversation.

Here’s a transcript of that second phone call:

DUTERTE: Sorry about that.  My mobile phone ran out of load, data.

TRUMP: That is so Third-World!

DUTERTE: Anyway, thanks again for the invitation to visit the U.S.

TRUMP: So when can you make it here?  I hope it’s ASAP.

DUTERTE: No promises, it depends on how busy I am.  Visits to Russia and Israel are already on my schedule.

TRUMP: You mean to say the U.S. is less important than Russia and Israel?

DUTERTE: They love me over there.  Besides, they do not have a New York Times or TIME Magazine there. Or human rights groups for that matter.

TRUMP: I already told you earlier, f*ck New York Times. I will make sure that only FOX News will cover your state visit.

DUTERTE: No, no no!  I may not agree with what they say, but I will defend their right to say it.  You know, like Rappler and Inquirer over here.

TRUMP: I don’t know how you do it.  How can a strongman like you tolerate criticism?

DUTERTE: That’s called Democracy, my friend.

(At this point, Bong Go’s mobile phone also ran out of load and data, so the conversation ended abruptly.  Again)

Trump Invites Duterte To Visit U.S. We Have The Transcript Of Their Phone Conversation

img_7353WASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles, Washington Bureau)-  The White House has confirmed that President Donald Trump had a great phone conversation with Rodrigo Duterte over the weekend and has extended an invitation to the Philippine president to visit the U.S.

Here’ a transcript of the amorous phone call as released by The White House:

TRUMP: Good afternoon Mr. Doo-ter-tey.

DUTERTE: It’s Du-ter-te. And it’s 3 a.m. here in the Philippines.

TRUMP: Well, I never apologize, so I’m not going to say, “I’m sorry.”

DUTERTE: You just did, you son of a whore.

TRUMP: Hey, hey, watch your language. I’m the president of the most powerful country in the world. Yours is just a third world country.

DUTERTE: Maybe, but I am friends with powerful countries that are your enemies, like China and Russia.

TRUMP: Well, why can’t we be friends as well? After all, people are calling you the “Trump of the Philippines.”

DUTERTE: Let me correct you, p*tang i*a mo. You’re being called the Duterte of America.

TRUMP: Anyway, I hear you’re doing a great job hosting the ASEAN leaders at your summit in Manila.

DUTERTE: Yeah, better than your hosting of the Easter Egg Hunt at your White House. That was pathetic!

TRUMP: I would like to invite you to The White House.  It’s gonna be great.

DUTERTE: But I don’t have a visa to come to the U.S.  Remember, I was already denied a U.S. visa when I wanted to come visit my girlfriend during my college days?

TRUMP: Dude, that was way before my time ‘ya know.

DUTERTE: Well, technically, I am from a Muslim region in the Philippines 🇵🇭. I thought you wanted to ban Muslims from entering your country?

TRUMP: As president, I can grant you an exemption.

DUTERTE: But The New York Times says I am a murderer.  Doesn’t your travel ban include terrorists and murderers?

TRUMP: F*ck The New York Times.  All they report is fake news.

DUTERTE: Invitation accepted.

(At this point, Duterte ran out of mobile phone load.  So the conversation abruptly ended.)

Ex-Philippine President NoyNoy Aquino Sues The New York Times

IMG_0951MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – The New York Times (NYT), known for its sensational reports and editorials bashing the Philippines under President Rodrigo Duterte, may have finally met its match in the person of Ex-Philippine President NoyNoy Aquino.

Aquino is suing the Pulitzer Prize-winning  U.S. publication.

In a recent article, NYT blamed Aquino for the vigilante killings now happening under the new administration of Duterte.

“I thought NYT was on  my side,” Aquino told The Adobo Chronicles.  “How dare they attribute the EJK’s (Extra-judicial killings) to me. Where is their proof?”

NYT, however, stood firm on its accusation, saying that it does have very reliable sources to back up its report.

Well, sometimes, NYT reports the truth and nothing but the truth.
