MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte is known to be very accommodating, even to his harshest critics. He holds no grudge against them and that’s why he had appointed VP Leni Robredo from the opposition party to a Cabinet position as Housing Czar.
Now, Duterte has announced that performance artist and tour guide Carlos Celdran will join his trusted staff in Malacañang.
Celdran is openly critical of Duterte and his administration and is closely associated with the Yellow Party. The latest rumor about Celdran was that he was spreading “news” that the president was in a coma, after he disappeared from public view for a few days beginning last June 12, Philippine Independence Day.
Celdran has been appointed as Malacañang tour guide, with a Cabinet rank.
“With his knowledge about history, politics and Philippine culture, he is the best person to be appointed to this critical position,” the Malacañang announcement said.
MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – The new Senate minority bloc, known as Voltes V, has called for a hearing on the recent collision between a U.S. Destroyer and a Philippines-registered cargo ship off the coast of Japan.
Voltes V is composed of Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon and Senators Antonio Trillanes IV, Kiko Pangilinan, Risa Hontiveros, and Bam Aquino.
MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Rumormonger Carlos Celdran and others were correct after all in spreading on social media that Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte’s absence from public view in past days, including from the Independence Day rites last June 12, was because he was in a coma.
