PIA Wants Mocha Out, Netizens Want Andanar Out

C6D224C6-75ED-453C-B7F9-46BAC28D71AA.jpegMANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – This may be a case of Musical Chairs (or, as Senator Grace Poe puts it, Trip to Jerusalem), except that we still don’t know who will lose his or her chair.

Philippine Information Agency (PIA) director-general Harold Clavite has publicly called on PCOO Asec Mocha Uson to go on leave, following that infamous ‘Pepedederalismo’ video with blogger Drew Olivar.

Uson has refused to apologize over the video but instead defended what critics have described as “offensive and in poor taste.”

But now, an overwhelming number of netizens want PCOO Secretary Martin Andanar to step down instead. (PIA is an agency under PCOO)

This, according to a non-scientific poll conducted on Facebook.

In the first 24 hours of what was supposed to be a six-day survey, 92.6% (after 312 votes and counting)  of respondents chose Andanar over Uson on the question: ‘If only one of these PCOO officials will resign, who do you want it to be?”

So, let the music begin.  Who’s going to be the last man or woman standing — or sitting —  in this game of Musical Chairs?

Leni Robredo Hires Blogger Drew Olivar As Spokesperson For ‘Angat Buhay’

FCA68F07-7B7E-4232-BC0A-5267BC1C98BBMANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Leni Robredo has changed her mind about suing ‘Pepedederalismo’ blogger Andrew Olivar for the latter’s previous videos accusing the Vice President of, among others, traveling to South Africa just to have sex.

Instead, realizing the potential of having Olivar on her side, Robredo is hiring the ‘boklo’ as spokesperson for her ‘Angat Buhay’ program.

Robredo told The Adobo Chronicles that spokesperson Georgina Hernandez has not been effective in creating a favorable public image for the Vice President. With the instant fame of Olivar because of that viral video with Mocha Uson, Robredo thinks that the blogger could be a great asset to her office.

Congratulations to Drew!

New MMDA Color-Coding Could Finally Solve EDSA Traffic Problem

59E297C2-BB41-4956-8778-204B6A9B03E8.jpegMANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – For decades now, the traffic problem along Metro Manila’s main throroughfare, EDSA, has all but become worse every single day.

Finally the Metroplitian Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has found a solution that would end this nightmare.

Effective September 1, 2018, MMDA will implement a new color-coding traffic scheme that would designate specific lanes to members of groups such as the Duterte Supporters (DDS), the Dilawan (Yellows), the LGBT and the heterosexual communities.

By segregating motorists from these communities, MMDA hopes to ease traffic on EDSA. Permanently.

Special care will be given to the lanes designated for DDS to ensure that they will be smooth-sailing throughout their commute, rush hour or not.

It pays to be a Duterte supporter!
