Los Angeles, California – What’s next for Los Angeles Clippers basketball team owner Donald Sterling after being dealt with a lifetime ban from the National Basketball Association (NBA) and a pocket change fine of $2.5 Million?

The unprecedented disciplinary action, announced in New York on Tuesday by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, is the fallout resulting from Sterling’s taped racist comments made to his girlfriend and leaked to TMZ.

Well, the billionaire has set his eyes on the very entertainment media company that caused this entire mess, TMZ. According to sources very close to Sterling, he has offered to buy the TMZ network for $1.5 Billion. TMZ is reportedly seriously considering the offer.

If the sale goes through, Sterling’s focus would be to spy on basketball team owners within the NBA with the goal of bringing them down with him.  “I am confident TMZ investigative reporters will find some scandal involving each of these owners,” he reportedly said. Ultimately, the sources said, Sterling wants to take down the entire NBA.

CNN TO TAKE OVER SEARCH FOR MALAYSIA AIRLINES MISSING PLANE

black holePerth, Australia (The Adobo Chronicles) – Since day one of the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, CNN has been in the forefront of the 24-hour news coverage of the massive search operations for the ill-fated Boeing 777 jetliner.

The Atlanta-based news cable network has scoured the four corners of the world in search of experts and pundits who provided top-rate analysis and speculation on what happened to MH370. Its anchors had employed never-before-tried techniques in news analysis, including the use of toy planes to enhance its coverage. It has left no stone unturned in exploring every possible scenario including the plane’s possible abduction by some “higher power.”

After almost two months, nothing has turned up in the massive search participated in by many countries. The latest operations to search the ocean floor is 95% complete and it is now uncertain whether or not the whole search operations will be called off.

But CNN is not about to give up.  In fact, the network has announced that it is taking over the search for the missing plane. “We are committed and extremely passionate about finding the plane and we will use all the equipment and resources available to us,” a CNN spokesperson said. “We are confident we will find the plane and we will continue to devote as much airtime as we possibly could in our ongoing news coverage of MH370,” he added.

Los Angeles, California – Oprah Winfrey, America’s undisputed queen of television and host extraordinaire is suing the Philippines’ presidential sister and television host Kris Aquino for defamation.

The lawsuit is in response to a recent televised interview conducted by Aquino with American actor and singer Jamie Foxx aired on the Philippines’ ABS-CBN television network.  Aquino, who makes no secret that she is a avid fan of Foxx, told the actor that she is the Oprah of the Philippines.

Lawyers for Oprah, who has her own cable network, OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network),  said that the American host and actress was not happy about the comparison. “In fact, there is no comparison at all,” the lawyers said. “Oprah’s breadth of experience and interviewing skills are not even a close match to the neophyte Aquino,” the suit alleged.

The Adobo Chronicles has not been able to reach either the Winfrey or Aquino camps for comment.
