But all that changed yesterday during the siege on Capitol Hill staged by pro-Trump supporters.

Many Filipinos noted with pride their country’s representation in the insurrection, highlighted by a walis tambo (soft broom) that’s as essential a household cleaning item as the tabo (bathroom dipper/pitcher). The above photo of the protester inside the Capitol instantly went trending.
