Trump Wants To Ban Immigrants From The Philippines; FilAm Voters Want To Deliver Zero Votes For Trump

imageSAN FRANCISCO, California (The Adobo Chronicles, San Francisco Bureau) – It is no secret that Donald Trump wants to exclude Filipinos from entering the United States as part of his campaign promise to ban immigration from countries with terror links.

The Philippines is one of 12 countries that the U.S. State Department has identified as “safe havens” for terrorism.image

So, Filipino Americans are retaliating by promising to deliver zero votes to Trump this coming November.

While many Filipino Americans have self-identified as Republican, they have decided to cross party lines by voting for Hillary Clinton who is more sympathetic to the cause of Filipino immigration to the United States.

It is estimated that the some 4 Million Filipinos live in the United States.  If each and every one of these FilAms would register to vote and vote for Clinton in November, it could spell the defeat of Trump, considering how close the 2016 presidential elections is being projected to be.

Moral of the story: Don’t mess with Filipinos!

Matt Damon Defends His Role in “The Great Wall” Saying He Indeed Is Quarter Chinese

HOLLYWOOD, California (The Adobo Chronicles, Los Angeles Bureau) – You’ve seen it many times before — the whitewashing of Hollywood where Asian roles are played by white actors.  For example: Emma Stone playing a quarter-Hawaiian in the movie ‘Aloha’ or Tilda Swinston playing a Tibetan Monk — The Ancient One — in Marvel’s ‘Doctor Strange.’

Now, a white actor has been cast to play the role of a warrior out to protect China’s Great Wall from attacking dragons.  That actor is none other than Matt Damon.

Naturally, Asian American groups have criticized Damon’s casting in a film, pointing out the ridiculousness of having a white warrior in ancient China.

But today, Damon came to his own defense saying that he, indeed, is a quarter Chinese, something that he has revealed for the very first time since he started his acting career.

Well, in that case, his casting is justified.

The film opens in 2017.
