LAS VEGAS, Nevada (The Adobo Chronicles, Las Vegas Bureau) – The 66th edition of the Miss Universe Pageant will be held on November 26 this year at The AXIS in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Iris Mittenaere of France will crown her successor at the end of the event.

The Miss Universe Pageant is no stranger to controversy, the most notorious of which was when host Steve Harvey announced the wrong winner during the 64th pageant — Miss Colombia instead of Miss Philippines.

Well, yet another controversy has come up.

Apparently, the final question that will be asked of the top finalists in this years’ pageant has been leaked to some contestants, including Miss U.S.A. and Miss Philippines.

The leaked question:

”If you had the sole power to choose the president of your country, who would you choose: Donald Trump or Rodrigo Duterte, and why?”

Truly, the Miss Universe pageant is not all about beauty, but brains as well.

Stay tuned for the final answer.

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – The Senate of the Philippines has the distinction of holding hearing after hearing  “in aid of legislation.”

One of the most-watched Senate hearings todate was that on “fake news,” which saw an entertaining clash among the Senators, members of the mainstream media as well as private citizen bloggers.

The next calendared hearing might prove to be even more interesting as the Upper House tackles the issue of “fake face.”

The hearing next week comes on the heels of the recent “revelation” on national television of the new and improved Xander Ford.

The Senate Secretariat confirmed to The Adobo Chronicles that among those invited as resource persons are Ford and no less than a member of the Senate, Risa Hontiveros.

Committee Chair Grace Poe said that both Ford and Hontiveros would be the best resource persons as the Senate tries to legislate fake faces because of their first-hand experience in facial transformation.
