Bb. Pilipinas Judges No Choice But To Name Miss Cebu Province ‘Best In National Costume!’

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – It is often said that the most difficult task in any beauty contest lies with the judges. Their decisions are always met with criticism. Damed if they do, damned if they don’t.

Miss Cebu Province donned the costume of the well-loved Catholic icon, the Santo Niño — gender notwithstanding.

One of the judges told The Adobo Chronicles that the panel does not have any choice. If Miss Cebu Province is not chosen the winner of the national costume, they will incur the ire of the entire Catholic Filipino nation.
“It would be tantamount to disrespecting the Child Jesus,” she added.

The Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) lauded the decision of the judges.
