Visitors to Baguio have, for many decades, been amused by that famous woodcarved souvenir, the Barrel Man (see photo).  But alas, he may soon go totally extinct.

Fariñas told The Adobo Chronicles that banning profanity was just the first step in restoring decency to the city. “Now it’s time to go after graphic and X-Rated Baguio souvenirs,” she said.

Because The Adobo Chronicles is a family-oriented site, we can’t show you what’s underneath that barrel woodcarving.  But our readers can always use Google to do their own research.

If Given A Tattoo In Jail, Senator Trillanes Wants A Yellow Rose

It is not uncommon for jail inmates to get or be given body tattoos.

Trillanes is facing arrest after President Rodrigo Duterte revoked his amnesty granted by then President NoyNoy Aquino.  Trillanes was jailed for past failed coup attempts.

Speaking with The Adobo Chronicles, Trillanes said that his preference would be a rose tattoo.  Not just any rose tattoo, but a yellow tattoo. He says his commitment to the Yellow Movement “is forever” and will proudly wear any Yellow symbol while incarcerated.

Trillanes has one request, though.

If given a tattoo while in jail, he wants internationally-recognized and last-surviving mambabatok (tattoo artist) Whang-od to do the honors.
