Bali, Indonesia Wants To Hire Rodrigo Duterte To Clean Up Its Beaches!

BALI, Indonesia (The Adobo Chronicles, Bali Bureau) – Bali means heaven, and this place proves that heaven exists on Earth. Located in Indonesia, this famous island is a bucket list destination for many travelers, thanks to its incredible scenery, cultural significance, and sandy beaches.

But Bali, including its beaches, has a $40 million trash problem, and its tourism industry is struggling to clean it up.

Enter former Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte who has miraculously cleaned up and restored Boracay island to its status as one if the world’s best resort destinations. During his term, he ordered the island closed for six months while the rehabilitation was underway. The rest is history.

Now, Bali wants to hire Duterte to deal with the trash problem, promising to gift him with a beach house mansion for his exclusive use in his retirement. The gift will be tax-free, and Duterte’s heirs will also be exempted from any inheritance fee.

No word yet if Duterte will accept the offer.

Philippine Government Set To Sign EDCA 2!

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – The Enhanced Defense Cooperative Agreement (EDCA) between the Philippines and the United States is well underway. It’s basic premise is that America will defend the Philippines if the latter is attacked. In return, the U.S. has been granted access to nine Philippine sites to use as military bases.

But our reliable sources tell us that President Bongbong Marcos may soon sign EDCA 2, this time with an alliance of European countries. This, after European countries expressed the importance of countering China’s rising military activity in Taiwan and the South China Sea. And what better place to do that than in the Philippines?

Truly, Marcos lives up to his promise that the Philippines will be friend to all, enemy to none.

Maria Ressa Says Philippines No Longer A War Zone

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Nobel Laureate and convicted CEO of Rappler Maria Ressa who once described the Philippines as the worst war zone she’s ever been in, is having a change of heart!

Asked if things are better in the Philippines under the administration of President Bongbong Marcos, her response was a resounding “Yes.”

Ressa’s road to international recognition and eventually the Nobel Peace Prize was premised on her accusations of the curtailment of her free speech, the death of Democracy and the Philippines being a war zone. She even wrote a book on how to stand up to a dictator (Rodrigo Duterte).

Is Ressa’s warming up to the Marcos administration a first step to seeking presidential pardon in the event the Supreme Court affirms her cyber libel conviction?

Stay tuned!
