SAN FRANCISCO, California (The Adobo Chronicles) – Thousands of Giants fans are expected to descend upon Super Bowl City in San Francisco this Saturday to protest what they are calling a city-sponsored event that discriminates against baseball fans.

Although Super Bowl 50 between the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers will actually be held at Levi’s Stadium in the city of Santa Clara, San Francisco has organized a week-long event in the  Embarcadero featuring concerts, fireworks, vendor displays, street dancing, food and booze, and viewing of the championship game live via jumbo screens.

“We have never seen anything like this before,” the protesters said.  “The 49ers are not even in the game so why is the city of San Francisco making such a big deal out of Super Bowl 50 ?”

The Giants fans feel insulted that San Francisco has not done a similar event for their baseball team in the past (when the Giants were not in the World Series).

They plan to chain themselves to BART and Muni trains and block mass transportation to and from Embarcadero.

The San Francisco Police Department is advising  football fans to refrain from wearing  49er or any other NFL team t-shirts or paraphernalia for their own safety and to prevent any untoward confrontation.

Manila Chosen As Site For Super Bowl 51

SANTA CLARA, California (The Adobo Chronicles) – If you’re wondering what Miss Universe Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach of the Philippines was doing at Super Bowl 50’s Media Night in San Jose, wonder no more.

She masqueraded as a correspondent for Inside Edition but her secret mission was to convince the National Football League (NFL) to bring Super Bowl 51 to Manila.

And it worked. The NFL announced today that next year’s Super Bowl will be held at the Philippine Arena, just a few miles north of Manila.

Before you wonder once more how Super Bowl could be held in a city that does not even have a team in the NFL, think again:

Super Bowl 50 is being held at the Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, headquarters of the 49ers who are not even in this year’s championship game. (Not to mention San Francisco which is hosting Super Bowl City when the game is not even being held in The City.)

The Philippine Arena is one of the largest, if not the largest, indoor arenas in the world.

Imagine all the spectacle and possibilities of Super Bowl being held indoors in a country where everything is more fun.

It will make the Super Bowl a truly international event, unlike baseball’s World Series which is, in reality, only a North American Series.

Hillary Clinton Is First Woman Ever To Win Iowa Caucus, Also First Woman Defeated

imageDES MOINES, Iowa (The Adobo Chronicles) – Former First Lady and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is the first woman ever to win the Iowa Caucus, her razor edge-thin margin over Senator Bernie Sanders nothwithstanding.

Of course, the Clinton campaign and the liberal news media can spin Tuesday’s Iowa Caucus results every which way, buy history was truly and accurately made when she won over Sanders.

This is the second significant political campaign record achieved by Clinton.

In 2008, she became the first woman to be defeated by a black man in the Iowa Caucus!
