Trump Supporters Threaten To Form Own Republic

IMG_6411.PNGLAREDO, Texas (The Adobo Chronicles, San Francisco Bureau) – You’ve heard it from the Trump supporters.  If their candidate Donald loses the presidential election, they will stage a violent coup to oust President Hillary.  So what happens next?

In a bold manifesto uncovered today by Wikileaks, Trumpeteers (a name Trump supporters are calling themselves) will establish a separate Republic with Donald as their president.  The document has made reference to a Trump Republic.

The Trumpeteers acknowledge that even a coup will not win over the Hillarians to their side, so they have decided to form their own government instead.

It is believed that the Trump Republic will have its seat of power in Laredo, Texas, just a few miles from the U.S.-Mexico border.

When asked by The Adobo Chronicles why Laredo was chosen, the Trumpeteers said that it would make it easy for Donald and members of his government to escape to Mexico if push comes to shove.

News And Cable Networks Will Not Air The Final Presidential Debate, Here’s Why

img_6394NEW YORK, New York (The Adobo Chronicles, Washington Bureau) – The Boston Globe has proposed to scrap the third and final U.S. presidential debate between Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump.  But that’s not going to happen.  Something else will.

ABC News, CBS News, NBC News, CNN, FOX, and MSNBC have all decided not to broadcast the Las Vegas debate on October 19.  The networks were in agreement it was pointless to do so.

The network executives said it is clear Hillary will win the election, Donald will spew more lies, and the Trump fanatics will claim their candidate won the debate no matter what.

But the final straw for the networks in deciding to boycott the debate was the threat from hundreds of former Miss Universe and Miss U.S.A. contestants to stage a protest at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas, forming a human chain around the campus to prevent the media from covering the event.

Many of these former beauty contestants have claimed that Trump disrespected them  when he owned the Miss U.S.A. and Miss Universe Organization, making it standard operating procedure for him to barge into the dressing rooms full of naked women.

So if you’re planning to be in the audience or watch Wednesday’s debate on TV, make some alternate plans like renting a movie from Netflix.

Asian Americans Protest New TV Series Featuring Daniel Dae Kim As Lead

HOLLYWOOD, California (The Adobo Chronicles, Los Angeles Bureau) – When NBC announced a few weeks ago that it has picked up a new sitcom about an American widower who takes in a mail-order bride from the Philippines to help raise his daughters, the Asian American community protested.  The rest is history, as NBC had cancelled the show.

Now, CBS is developing a new legal drama that centers around a Korean American lawyer.

“Exhibit A” is the newest series project of Alexi Hawley (Castle co-showrunner), Daniel Dae Kim (Hawaii Five-o co-star), and Ben Silverman (Jane The Virgin producer). The series, written by Hawley, is adapted from the South Korean drama hit “My Lawyer, Mr. Jo,” and will feature a Korean-American lawyer as the lead. The premise of the show follows the journey of the Korean-American prosecutor from disgrace to redemption as he works with an idealistic attorney to fight for the underdogs of Los Angeles.

Korean American Daniel Dae Kim will play the lead role, certainly a first in U.S. television history (outside of action drama).

Immediately after the CBS announcement, Asian American community leaders across the U.S. protested and demanded that the network kill the show.

“It’s non-stereotypical and very offensive to the Asian American community,” said one Asian American community leader who requested anonymnity.  “Why can’t they come up with a more realistic show that would feature a Korean American owner of a dry cleaning shop or grocery store,” he asked.

Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.
