MANILA, Philippines ( The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Seeking to improve on his current 8th place standing in the polls for the 2016 Philippine senatorial race, Filipino champion boxer Manny Pacquiao is shifting his campaign strategy by going after the animal vote.
In interview after interview this week, Pacquiao who claims to be a devout Catholic, said that animals are better off than human beings.
He made this comment in response to media questions on whether or not he favors same-sex marriage.
Speaking in Tagalog, Pacquiao said man was made for woman, and woman was made for man. He said that no animal engages in sex with another of the same gender.
We did a little fact-checking about Pacquiao’s comments.
Animals DO display homosexual behaviour. Here is a list of at least 12 of those animals, including giraffes, monkeys, flamingos, dolphins and snails.
So, sorry Mr. Pacquiao, you can go after the animal vote, but they, too, are in favor of same-sex marriage.
