DINGDONG AND MARIAN: PHILIPPINES’ NEWLY-WED ACTORS ARE WORLD’S FIRST PREGNANT COUPLE!

imageMANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles) – Their wedding last December 30 was dubbed a “Royal Wedding” by Philippine standards. Television superstars Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera tied the knot in church ceremonies officiated by eight bishops and seven priests, with no less than President Aquino standing as Best Man. The bride looked queenly in a Two Million-peso gown, emerging from a fully-refurbished antique Mercedes Benz.

Then came the wedding reception at the Mall of Asia. The banquet hall reminded guests of an Olympic Games opening ceremony. The menu was a five-course meal, and the cake…. the cake was 12 feet tall, reportedly costing Seven Million Pesos.

Rumors have been circulating about Marian’s supposed pregnancy, but the couple has not given reporters or the gossip tabloids the benefit of a confirmation or denial.

Today, however, the couple’s home film production company, ABS-CBN’s Star Cinema, confirmed that BOTH Marian AND Dongdong are pregnant with their first baby  — at the very least, twins!

This makes the couple the first ever in the word to both carry their babies.  They are reportedly both nine months pregnant.

APPLE WATCH SHIPMENT TO BE DELAYED FOR ONE YEAR

imageCUPERTINO, California (The Adobo Chronicles) – On the first day that Apple Watch became available in the U.S., nearly 1 Million people pre-ordered Apple’s first wearable technology venture.

The hotly-anticipated watch sold out online within hours. Buyers of some models won’t receive their devices until May, while others will have to wait until July.

But now, those who were lucky enough to complete their online orders will  have to wait for a year to get their purchased item.

The reason? There was a major production glitch.

While Apple focused on the amazing features of their wrist-size device, developers overlooked one very important, yet simple feature: Daylight Saving Time.

The Apple Watches that have been  shipped out of the tech company’s production centers in China are not designed to automatically adjust to Daylight Saving Time.  This means that Apple Watch owners in the U.S. willl be thrown off when it comes to telling the time when Daylight Saving Time is in effect.

Apple CEO Tim Cook issued a statement apologizing to Apple fans for the delay in delivery of the hot item, but reiterated that the company will never compromise its  credbility and integrity by shipping defective items.

To compensate for the delay, Cook said that all those who pre-ordered the Apple Watch will get a 50% refund of their purchase price.

Apple Watch shipment in countries outside of the U.S. will not be affected by the shipping delay.

TOP 10 REASONS THERE WILL NEVER BE A WOMAN U.S. PRESIDENT

imageSAN FRANCISCO, California (The Adobo Chronicles) – Now that Hillary Clinton has officially declared she is running for president in 2016,  the political and media circles have begun the unending debate on whether or not America is ready for a woman President.

We at The Adobo Chronicles maintain that there will never ever be a woman president in the U.S., and here’s why:

  1. There is no official title for a woman president’s husband at The White House.
  2. The American military will never take orders from a woman Commander-in-Chief.
  3. The White House has never dealt with maternity leave for as long as we all can remember.
  4. Presidents are fitted with dark suits, not dark pantsuits.
  5. Air Force One does not have a stall, only a urinal, for the bathroom on board. Marine One does not have a bathroom at all.
  6.  Our founding fathers didn’t have mothers in mind when they established the Union.
  7. There cannot be two women in the White House kitchen. The current executive chef is already a woman, Filipina-American Cristeta Comerford.
  8. A woman president can take a 3 a.m. call in her pajamas, but will always be late for a 7 a.m. meeting or appointment.
  9. Politicians and the media will never criticize a woman president, lest they be accused of being sexist.
  10. We do not want a repeat of that international embarassment when George W. Bush was caught on camera giving German Chancellor Angela Merkel a back rub. We would not allow that to happen to our woman president!
