OBAMA REVISES EXECUTIVE ACTION, IT’S NOW FULL AMNESTY!

Washington, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles) – President Barack Obama seems headed for even more direct confrontation with the Republicans in Congress today by revising his previous executive actions.

Already, House Republicans are taking legal action against Obama for what they are calling abuse of his constitutional authority when he issued executive actions granting some 5 Million undocumented immigrants temporary relief from deportation.

But today, Obama, speaking at the White House, said, “I am here to announce what I’m sure will be the most talked about executive action this month. I am taking an action that is fully within my legal authority. I am now granting not just temporary relief but full amnesty.”

Obama’s announcement on the eve of Thanksgiving Day was most welcome news for Cheese and Mac, the two turkeys granted full amnesty today in accordance with White House tradition.

Washington, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles) – Republican Representative Mo Brooks of Alabama wants to send President Obama to prison for 5 years for doing what every other modern president has done by taking executive action on immigration reform.

Brooks has introduced a bill in Congress  that would pave the way for the House to take legal action against President Obama should he issue an executive order on immigration , which he did.

Today,  Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi of San Francisco introduced a counter bill that would instead place Obama under house arrest for 6 years.

Pelosi’s bill would virtually assure Obama of an uninterrupted remainder (2 years) of his current term, and then some.  The additional 4 years would keep him in the White House for the duration of the house arrest.

Democrats and other supporters are rallying behind Obama’s conviction so that he can continue to stay in the White House for 4 more years, albeit under house arrest.

What a brilliant move by Pelosi to extend Obama’s term as president without having to amend the U.S. Constitution.

OXFORD OFFICIALLY ADDS THE WORD ‘SELFITIS’ TO THE ENGLISH DICTIONARY

o0xOxford, England (The Adobo Chronicles) – Each year, new words are added to the Oxford Dictionary — which describes itself as “the definite record of the English language” and published by the Oxford University Press.

Among the new words added this year is “Selfitis.”

In March this year, The Adobo Chronicles  broke the story that the American Psychiatric Association (APA)officially classified ‘selfies’ as a mental disorder, calling it “Selfitis.”image45

The disorder is defined as the obsessive-compulsive desire to take photos of one’s self  and post them on social media as a way to make up for the lack of self-esteem and to fill a gap in intimacy. APA said there are three levels of the disorder: borderline, acute and chronic selfitis.

In deciding to add “Selfitis” to their dictionary, Oxford said that “no other word in the history of the English language has caught the attention of millions of people worldwide within a short period of time, dominating news stories, songs, television shows, Facebook posts and Tweets, as has “Selfitis.”

In  responding to criticism that “itis” means “inflammation” and that the disorder as defined by the APA is more of an addiction, Oxford decided to add a second definition in its dictionary entry, as follows:

Selfitis (self-i’tis) n. inflammation of the ego

However, the word “Selfitis” failed to be named Oxford Dictionaries’ “Word of the Year.”  The 2014 Word of the Year is “Vape,”  used to describe the process of inhaling and exhaling the vapor produced by an electronic cigarette (or “vape pen”).

Last year’s word of the year was “Selfies.”
