TELEVANGELIST PAT ROBERTSON: “IT’S UP TO GOD TO KILL LIBERAL SUPREME COURT JUSTICES”

Robertson

WASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles® ) – Televangelist Pat Robertson has questioned why God has allowed pro-choice U.S. Supreme Court justices to live long lives, but admits it’s really up to the Almighty to decide who goes and who stays.

Robertson was responding to a viewer question on “The 700 Club” on why justices who voted to legalize abortion, or continue to support it, are still around.

Apparently, the aging Robertson misunderstood the question. The viewer meant to ask why God has allowed the justices to remain on the court, not to remain on this earth.

U.S. Supreme Court justices are appointed for life. But they have the option to retire and not wait for their demise.

STATE OF TEXAS SUES SUPREME COURT OVER RULING ON GAY MARRIAGE

DALLAS, Texas (The Adobo Chronicles®) – The Lone Star State is suing the U.S. Supreme Court over Friday’s ruling which legalized same-sex marriage in all 50 states.

Governor Greg Abbott announced today that Texas will file a class-action law suit on Monday asking the Supreme Court to void the ruling of the Supreme Court.

“The Supreme Court has abandoned its role as an impartial judicial arbiter and has become an unelected nine-member legislature. Five Justices on the Supreme Court have imposed on the entire country their personal views on an issue that the Constitution and the Court’s previous decisions reserve to the people of the States,” Abbott said in an official statement.

“If the high court does not reverse its ruling, I will ask my Republican Colleagues in the Senate to initiate impeachment proceedings against all justices who joined in the majority decision granting LGBT Americans the same rights as heterosexul married couples.”

“No one messes with Texas,” Abbott said, “not even the Supremes.”

Compromise Reached: Controversial Torre De Manila Construction Resumes

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles) – No conflict is without a resolution.

On Monday, the Philippines’ Supreme Court, with a vote of 8-5,  issued a restraining order against the construction of the 46-storey Torre de Manila. A temporary restraining order immediately went into effect enjoining respondent DMCI Project Developers Inc. from continuing with the construction and development of the condominium project.

Petitioner Knights of Rizal said the building mars the view of the Rizal Monument in Luneta Park and would completely dominate the vista, substantially diminishing in scale and importance the most cherished monument of the country’s national hero.

On Tuesday, the high court ruled the construction can resume after the developer submitted a new plan that was immediately accepted by the petitioner.

The new plan calls for the draping of the front facade of the condominium building with a giant Philippine flag. The flag, which would be the size of 40 floors of the building, will drape the building for 24 hours, 365 days a year. The developer will also ensure that the giant flag will immediately be replaced with a new one if torn or damaged by Manila’s weather conditions.

“We actually love the idea,” the Knights of Rizal said, “because the giant flag provides a very appropriate backdrop for the monument.  After all, Rizal is our  national hero and he deserves to be honored as such.”

Conflict resolved!
