REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES CONCEDE LATINO VOTE TO DONALD TRUMP

imageKANSAS CITY, Missouri (The Adobo Chronicles® ) – A spokesperson for the National Council of La Raza, the biggest Latino advocacy group in the United States, says that the organization invited every current Republican and Democratic presidential candidate to their annual convention taking place in Kansas City, Mo., but only the Democrats agreed to come.

That means that none of the GOP candidates,  not even Latino candidates Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio, will attend.

The Adobo Chronicles® spoke with all declared Republican candidates, exempt Trump, and they were one in saying that they have all but conceded the Latino vote to The Donald.

Despite his disparaging remarks about Mexicans (calling them “racists, drug addicts and criminals”), Trump, who leads in some new polls among the GOP presidential candidates, recently said that he will win the Latino vote.

Jeb Bush Declares Candidacy For President With Brilliant Campaign Theme

imageMIAMI, Florida (The Adobo Chronicles) –  The 2016 U.S. presidential elections is turning out to be another Bush vs. Clinton contest.

Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, the son and brother of two former presidents, has declared his candidacy to seek the Republican nomination for president.

It was an announcement that most people saw coming.

But what political analysts as well as Democratic campaign strategists are raving about is the campaign strategy that the younger Bush has chosen in order to clinch the nomination.

His campaign theme is: “Beating Around the Bush.”

The strategy would involve ducking all media questions involving his stand on issues important to the American voters, issues where his stand had previously been made crystal clear, including:

  • Defending voter ID laws that disproportionately affect women, minority, and student voters
  • Thinking that citizenship for undocumented immigrants is an “undeserving reward”
  • Absolutely believing that businesses should be able to discriminate against gay Americans
  • Advocating for the public shaming of single mothers
  • Taking policy advice from his brother — and recently defending invading Iraq
  • Supportiing a budget that guts Medicare and education funding

It will be a presidential campaign season that will frustrate many in the media. What would normally be a busy news season would be a slow news day, every day, because Bush will not be responding to any media questions.

If Bush wins the Republican nomination, there might not even be a presidential debate.

With Bush (or whoever among the declared Republican presidential candidates clinches the nomination), who needs a debate?

DEMOCRATS WOO REPUBLICAN CAITLYN JENNER

CaptureWASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles ) – It is common knowledge that the former Bruce Jenner was a Republican.  It is therefore not a surprise that among the first to welcome Caitlyn into their fold was the Log Cabin Republicans.

Log Cabin Republicans is the nation’s original and largest organization representing gay conservatives and allies who support fairness, freedom, and equality for all Americans, and who believe in electing Republicans into office.  Just this year, the California chapter officially gave charter status to the group, giving it a vote in state Republican party matters and policies.

Meanwhile, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) has reportedly reached out to Caitlyn in the hope that she will switch party affiliation.

The committee is confident that it can win over Caitlyn, citing the fact that there are more Democrats who support her and who support key LGBT issues like same-sex marriage.

“While Bruce was Republican, Caitlyn is an entirely new person and that new person is more aligned with the Democratic ideology, especially as it relates to LGBT equality,” a DNC spokesperson said.

The DNC cited the fact that all declared Republican presidential candidates believe that marriage should only be between a man and a woman, and that most are lukewarm to giving equal federal rights to LGBTs.

The ball is now in Caitlyn’s court.
