NEW YORK, New York (The Adobo Chronicles, Washington Bureau) – Talk Show host Ellen DeGeneres’ clothing line, GapKids X ED, is all about encouraging children to embrace what makes them unique. But it’s that “empowerment” aspect of the brand’s campaigns that left many confused by the most recent photos posted to GapKids’ Twitter account on Saturday.
One photo showed two white children doing acrobatic moves while a third, older white child leans her arm on the black child seen in the ad. Many people on Twitter took issue with the tweet, which reads “meet the kids who are proving that girls can do anything.” Many thought the photo had some “racist” overtones.
Upon learning of the criticism, DeGeneres immediately fired the advertising agency for her clothing line and asked an amateur photoshop artist to revise the ad. Here is what the artist came up with. DeGeneres reportedly really, really liked it!
NEW YORK, New York (The Adobo Chronicles) – Teen idol Justin Bieber is suing Calvin Klein over a photoshopped image that the underwear company used in its most recent ad.
Bieber’s image in the ad was photoshopped to make him bigger with his muscles and you know what else.
“I’ve always been honest and straightforward with my fans,” Bieber said, “and to portray me in an underwear ad that’s not representative of the true me is just not kosher.”
Bieber sued Calvin Klein for an undisclosed amount plus a one-year supply of CK underwear.
New York, New York (The Adobo Chronicles) – Kim Kardashian’s nude photograph which graced the cover of the latest issue of Paper Magazine was photoshopped, the publication admitted today.
Kim’s enormous oiled posterior became an Internet sensation after the photo was released yesterday. It elicited mixed reactions of oohs and ahs as well as eews from netizens the world over.
Elizabeth Thompson, senior editor for Paper, told The Adobo Chronicles that Kim’s butt was superimposed with another photograph of two moon cakesput together.
Moon cakes are a Chinese delicacy especially popular during the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival. It is a delicious pastry with sweet bean or lotus filling.
Looks like many netizens were “mooned” by the Kardashian photograph.
