MARCO RUBIO FILES COMPLAINT WITH RNC AND CNBC OVER DEBATE PODIUM PLACEMENT

MIAMI, Florida (The Adobo Chronicles) – Placement is everything, especially in a televised presidential debate.

In the last three GOP presidential debates, the candidates leading in national polls were placed behind the center podiums while the rest were positioned to their left and to their right, in the order of their poll standing.

Apparently, at last night’s debate hosted by CNBC, something wasn’t right with the podium placement.  The two top candidates –Donald Trump and Ben Carson —  were in the middle podiums alright, but former Governor Jeb Bush’s podium was placed right next, and very close, to Trump.

That didn’t sit well with Senator Marco Rubio, who is ahead of Bush in the polls.

As he reviewed news photos of the event, Rubio was aghast at what he saw (see photo).

Today, Rubio filed a formal complaint with the Republican National Committee and CNBC for favoring Bush, not knowing of course, that the photo he was shown by his campaign staff was from . . . The Onion.

As they say in elections, the whole thing was too close to call.

DONALD TRUMP INCREASES POLL RATINGS; ALL GOP CANDIDATES BUT CARLY FIORINA WITHDRAW!

WASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles® ) – The Republican Party’s worst nightmare just happened.

After the first GOP presidential debate held last Thursday, everybody expected Donald Trump’s poll ratings to decline significantly, especially after that contentious exchange with FOX News moderator Megyn Kelly.

But newly-released national polls show Trump gaining yet another point, leading the GOP pack with 23%. That’s 10 percentage points ahead of his closest rival Ted Cruz.

Realizing they can’t possibly compete with Trump, all the other Republicans in the contest withdrew their candidacy, except for Carly Fiorina.

The only woman GOP presidential candidate rated well in last week’s debates, even if she didn’t make it to the top ten candidates that participated in the main event.

“I may have been included in the second-tier of GOP candidates but I have proven that I am the candidate who could beat Hillary Clinton.  After all, we are both women,” Fiorina said.

The former CEO of Hewlett-Packard believes that Trump’s handling of Kelly during debate night and in the days that followed, have turned off women voters, and that “this is where I come in, as a woman.”

Fiorina also said that if she is named the Republican nominee for president, she would be the best candidate, even in a three-way contest should Trump decide to run as an Independent.

Will 2016 be America’s “Year of the Woman?”

NEW YORK, New York (The Adobo Chronicles® ) – Megyn Kelly is suing Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump for harassment after that feisty exchange on live television in Thursday night’s GOP presidential debate.

The FOX News anchor, in one of the highlights of the evening, asked Trump to explain his often-disparaging comments about women.

“You’ve called women ‘fat pigs, dogs, slobs, disgusting animals,'” she said.

“Only Rosie O’Donnell,” Trump said, cutting Kelly’s question off mid-sentence.

“And honestly Megyn, if you don’t like it, I’m sorry,” he added. “I’ve been very nice to you, although I could probably maybe not be, based on the way you have treated me. ”

Kelly took that as a threat and said that she feared for her safety.

In a complaint filed in New York City’s superior court, Kelly sought for a restraining order to prevent Trump from coming within 50 feet of wherever is she. She is also asking the court to  ban the real estate mogul from using his Twitter account to further insult and criticize her.

In a series of late-night tweets, Trump blasted  Kelly for singling him out during the debate.

Meanwhile, Rosie O’Donnel is also reportedly considering filing a separate complaint against Trump for defamation of character.

Feminist attorney Gloria Allred has confirmed that she will be representing both Kelly and O’Donnel in the lawsuits on a pro-bono basis.  “It’s not about the money, she said, it’s about standing up for women.”
