ATLANTA, Georgia (The Adobo Chronicles) – News anchor Don Lemon is not waiting until CNN fires him. He just quit.

Lemon is the target of an online petition demanding that he be fired by the cable news network. More than 28,000 people have signed the petition in which the controversial “journalist” was castigated for his reaction to the South Carolina school incident where a police officer violently dragged a female student for allegedly being disruptive in class. On his program, Lemon said he needs to see more facts before passing judgement on the officer.

Lemon is no stranger to controversy. He once held up a sign during a broadcast asking viewers if they were offended by it. The sign had the word ‘Ni**er’ in bold letters.

He is also known for his famous line, “smell of marijuana” during his coverage of the civil disturbance  in Ferguson.

Lemon is also credited for advising black teens to pull up their pants to gain respect, and for suggesting that a missing Malaysia Airlines plane was kidnapped by some higher power.

But Lemon fans need not worry. He will not be out of a job.

CNBC has just announced that it has hired Lemon as its chief political correspondent. The NBC-affiliated network made the decision following last night’s Republican presidential debate debacle in which the CNBC moderators were releatedly booed by the audience and attacked by the candidates for their “less-than-nice” questions and demeanor.

Critics are describing the CNBC debate as the “worst moderated” in U.S.  political history.

By hiring Lemon, CNBC hopes to rebuild its reputation as a leading news network. “Lemon’s popularity will most definitely help our ratings,” CNBC executives said.

LIKE A CRY BABY, DONALD TRUMP COMPLAINS TO CNN’S DON LEMON ABOUT FOX NEWS’ MEGYN KELLY

imageATLANTA, Georgia (The Adobo Chronicles® ) – After being battered by a female moderator during Thursday night’s GOP presidential debate, Donald Trump desperately needed to  blow off some steam with someone –  like another news anchor from  another cable news network.

Trump found his ally in CNN’s Don Lemon.  After all, he is his namesake.

In an interview with Don Lemon on “CNN Tonight,” Trump on Friday accused FOX News of asking “vicious,” unfair questions at the debate and called Kelly “overrated.” Kelly had pressed Trump about misogynistic, sexist comments in his past.

On CNN, Trump called the questions “ridiculous,” called Kelly “off-base,” and said, “You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes.  Blood coming out of her wherever.”

Trump told Lemon that he didn’t know whether he’d participate in a future FOX News debate. “I didn’t think they were fair.”

Lemon volunteered to moderate the next GOP presidential debate and promised Trump he would be more fair than Kelly.

Lemon’s ratings are significantly down and so he needed a boost in viewership. He thinks that moderating the next GOP Debate will boost his and CNN’s ratings.

Lemon’s ratings suffered a setback recently when debris from the missing Malaysia Airlines  Flight 370 washed ashore in Reunion Island in the French Indian Ocean.

During CNN’s desperate search for the missing plane, Lemon had speculated that the jet may have been sucked up by a black hole or “kidnapped” by a higher power. Now that theory has gone down the drain. Or the ocean.

SAN FRANCISCO SUPERVISOR REFUSES TO BE INTERVIEWED BY FOX NEWS, OR BY CNN’S DON LEMON

SAN FRANCISCO, California (The Adobo Chronicles® )  – Scott Wiener, member of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors representing the district that includes the gay Castro, refused to be interviewed by FOX News today, claiming that “FOX News is not real news,” and that the reporter is anything but.

Shortly thereafter, CNN’s Don Lemon called Wiener’s office asking the supervisor to be a guest on the openly gay “journalist’s” talk show. Wiener likewise refused, repeating what he said about FOX. “CNN is not real news, and you’re not a real journalist.”image

The Adobo Chronicles®  contacted Wiener to schedule an in-person interview with him to discuss issues of concern to  San Francisco’s LGBT community.

We were put on Wiener’s calendar for tomorrow, at 10 a.m.
