Houston, Texas (The Adobo Chronicles) – George W. Bush today accused Barack of Obama of plagiarizing the Republican president’s May 15, 2006 speech on immigration.

Last night, Obama delivered a prime-time speech to announce executive actions he was taking to provide deportation relief to some 5 Million undocumented immigrants.

Bush said, “if you listened very closely to what Obama said, he practically copied my speech from the Oval Office which I made in 2006”

Both speeches touched on exactly the same themes: that the U.S. is a nation of laws and a nation of immigrants; that we need to secure our borders; that Congress needs to pass an immigration reform bill; and that what they were proposing was not amnesty.

Speaking from the Bush family ranch in Houston, George W. demanded that Obama apologize to him and the nation for stealing his words and for his lack of original ideas on immigration.

The White House has refused to comment on Bush’s allegation.

OBAMA EXPECTED TO ISSUE IMMIGRATION EXECUTIVE ORDER: WHAT’S WAL-MART GOT TO DO WITH IT?

Washington, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles) – Sources close to Barack Obama have all but confirmed that the President is preparing to issue an executive order that would, among other things, halt the deportation of some 5 Million undocumented immigrants.

Many will recall that in 2012, Obama issued a similar EO halting the deportation of hundreds of thousands of undocumented immigrants who were brought to the U.S. as children. It was known as DACA, or Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals.

The new order, which the President is expected to issue upon his return from his trip to Asia, will allow undocumented parents of children born in the U.S. to remain in the country and have the opportunity to apply for some legal status.

If and when issued, this new executive order will put the President in direct confrontation with Republican Senators and Congressmen who have vowed to stop Obama from bypassing the legislature when it comes to changes in immigration policy.

Legal experts say that Congress cannot overturn an executive order but it can refuse to fund activities stemming from all or parts of it, which makes it a challenge to the Obama administration when it comes to implementing the order.

Enter the Waltons – the billionaire owners of Wal-Mart, the largest private employer in the United States.

Wal-Mart is infamous for its unfair labor laws and employment practices ranging from wage law violations, inadequate health care, exploitation, and its anti-union stance.  But the Waltons have sent signals to the White House that if Congress refuses to fund Obama’s immigration Executive Order, Wal-Mart will provide all the needed funds for implementation. The Waltons are worth a combined total of $152 Billion as of July, 2014.

What’s in it for Wal-Mart? Well, that’s 5 Million potential workers they can employ under substandard labor conditions, which means increased profits for the company.  In no time, Wal-Mart can recoup whatever amount it spends to fund Obama’s immigration order.

Once again, the Republicans have been out-smarted. Obama wins. Unfortunately, so does Wal-Mart.

MITCH MCCONNELL: ‘EBOLA HAS BEEN ERADICATED IN THE U.S.’

Louisville, Kentucky (The Adobo Chronicles) – After two months of causing widespread panic among the American public, Ebola has finally been eradicated in the U.S.

This was announced today by Senator Mitch McConnell, the presumptive next Senate majority leader.  The Kentucky senator defeated his Democratic rival in yesterday’s midterm elections, as did several other Republicans in various state contests.  The Republican victory virtually put both the Senate and the House of Representatives under full control by the GOP.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention confirmed the first-ever case of Ebola diagnosed in America on September 30. The patient, Thomas Eric Duncan, came from Liberia and had remained in isolation at a hospital in Dallas, Texas for over a week. On the morning of October 8, he died.

Several other cases of nurses and doctors suspected to have been exposed to the Ebola virus after arriving from medical missions in West Africa prompted extreme measures by several states, including mandatory quarantine  and active monitoring by the federal government.

Many Republican candidates campaigned on scare tactics and criticized the Obama administration for doing nothing or very little to combat the spread of the deadly virus in the U.S.

It turns out that “Ebola” was a code name used by Republican leaders to refer to their political strategy to gain full control of Congress in Tuesday’s elections.  Choosing the code name worked perfectly for Republican candidates because it resulted in a “double entendre,” scaring many voters who believed that the Democrats were not doing enough to stop the spread of the virus. Exit polls confirmed that voters went for Republican candidates because of this.

As soon as the television networks and news media called the election in favor of a full Republican control of Congress, the GOP officially declared that Ebola has been eradicated in the U.S.– their election strategy code name, that is. With it came the eradication of Democrats in key states.
