APPLE TO SUE LG FOR INFRINGEMENT OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

CUPERTINO, California (The Adobo Chronicles) – When Apple’s iPhone 6 and 6 Plus first hit the market last year, there were complaints that the new smartphone was easily bent because of its thin, aluminum casing. Instead of going back to the drawing board, Apple applied for and received a patent on the defective phone.

Now, Apple is suing smartphone manufacture LG for the latter’s latest product, the LG G Flex 2,  accusing LG of infringement of intellectual property.

Contoured to fit the curve of your hand and angle of your face, the LG G Flex 2 is sleek, stylish and comfortable to use. With a flexible body that seamlessly moves from curved to straight and back again, the G Flex2 features a 5.5-inch full HD P-OLED screen, a 64-bit octa-core processor, 13-megapixel camera with laser auto focus, and a 3,000 mAH battery for fast charging and long-lasting performance. Plus, with its self-healing coating, the curved phone can recover beautifully from minor scratches – so it always looks like new.

“LG basically copied the bending mechanism of our iPhone 6 and 6 Plus,” a spokesperson for Apple said.

Apple is suing for an undisclosed amount.

APPLE TO RELEASE CHEAP AND DISPOSABLE VERSION OF GOOGLE GLASS

Cupertino, California (The Adobo Chronicles) – Move over, Google Glass. Here comes iGlass, and it’s cheap and disposable!

Apple announced today that as part of its venture into wearable technology, it is releasing a Beta version of what it hopes would be its answer to the $1,500 Google Glass.

The iGlass will be released together with the Apple watch in early 2015.

Apple’s iGlass will do just about everything that the Google Glass is capable of, except that it is cheap — at $39.99 — and disposable. And did we mention recyclable?

The iGlass is made of collapsible cardboard that attaches with a ribbon (included) to a baseball cap (not included). Giants fans, this is for you!

When not in use, iGlass can be collapsed and neatly stored in your drawer or your car’s glove compartment. However, iGlass must be partnered with either an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus (sorry Android fans, you just have to stick to the more expensive Google Glass).  The iPhone is then attached, snuggly, to the cardboard casing and all you need to do is download the iGlass app from the Apple Store to make it work.

Pre-orders are now being accepted, just in time for the gift-giving holidays. So, delay your gift-giving for now and send your loved ones a raincheck for the iGlass coming in January to an Apple Store near you.

MICROSOFT’S BILL GATES: “I’M STRAIGHT!”

Gates, left, and Cook

Seattle, Washington (The Adobo Chronicles) – What a ‘National Coming Out Month’ October was!

First, Apple CEO Tim Cook officially came out as a proud gay man, confirming what many in his inner circles already knew about the successor to the late Steve Jobs.

Today, Microsoft’s founder and chairman Bill Gates announced at a developers forum in Seattle that he was ‘straight.’

“Most everyone already knows that,” Gates said, ” but I wanted to make it official in the hope of inspiring young people who are unsure of their sexuality to come forward and categorically state their preference. Being straight should not be a barrier to success.”

While Cook has become the first openly gay leader of a major U.S. company, Gates’ announcement makes him the richest man in the U.S. to come out.

Now, there is hope for young gay or straight men and women to break the glass ceiling and become billionaires — thanks to role models Cook and Gates.
