MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Singapore has replaced Japan for having the world’s most powerful passport, allowing visa-free entry to 192 global destinations, according to the latest Henley Passport Index.
The Philippine passport now ranks No. 74, with 66 visa-free destinations. (Surprisingly, the country’s most “revered ally,” the United States, is not among the visa-free destinations.)
Still that is a long ways until the Philippine passport achieves platinum or gold status. Hence, it is still considered among the world’s most power-hungry passports.
Other world rankings show the Philippines anywhere from 66th to 126 the place.
