Leni Robredo Named ‘Person Of Interest’ In Expanded ICC Probe On PH War On Drugs!

THE HAGUE, The Netherlands (The Adobo Chronicles, Berlin Bureau) – The Appeals Chamber of the International Criminal Court (ICC) has denied the Philippine government’s request for the suspension of the investigation of the tribunal’s prosecutor into the alleged crimes against humanity committed in the course of then President Rodrigo Duterte’s “war on drugs.”

In an eight-page decision issued Monday at The Hague in The Netherlands, the Appeals Chamber said it “rejects the request of the Republic of the Philippines for suspensive effect” of the Pre-Trial Chamber’s decision.”

But to show its impartiality, the ICC also added ex-Vice President Leni Robredo as an additional “person of interest.” This new development stems from Robredo’s video message to the United Nations several years ago in which she accused the Duterte administration of “masterminding extra-judicial killings” and citing what Filipino law enforcement authorities call as “palit ulo” where the wife, husband or relative in a so-called drug list will be taken if the person himself or herself could not be found.”

ICC ordered Robredo to show solid proof and documentation of her allegations.

Genesis Bus Company First In The Country To Build Non Gender-Specific, Toilets-In-Tandem!

QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Quezon City Bureau) – It has long been a joke on social media in the Philippines – altered photos of toilets-in-tandem, no partitions, just the opportunity to poop in plain sight of others doing the same thing in public restrooms.

But lo and behold, Genesis Bus Company is building the first-ever, real toilets-in-tandem as seen in this actual photo of their public restroom at their Cubao, Quezon City terminal. (Photo by The Adobo Chronicles).

But there’s more, the commodes are not only partition-lacking, but the restrooms are also non-gender specific, also featuring urinals.

Men, women, transgender men or women, and drag queens can use the toilets at the same time for as long as there are vacancies.

Leni Robredo Cited In Old Balara, Quezon City For Playing Lato-Lato!

QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Quezon City Bureau) – It doesn’t matter if you were the former Vice President of the Philippines. When visiting any of the Barangays, you have to follow established ordinances.

Leni Robredo was cited by the Barangay Tanod (village police) in Old Balara in Quezon City for playing lato-lato, that annoying, noisy and dangerous game of clicking balls to make a loud clapping noise.

The barangay has an existing ordinance which bans the sale, possession, or playing lato-lato.

In fairness, Robredo wasn’t aware of the ordinance and simply wanted to show her skill in playing with balls to a group of supporters.

After being questioned by the police, Robredo was issued a citation and ordered to pay a fine of P69.
