MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – The Senate of the Philippines has just released the schedule of committee hearings for the remaining days of September.
Senate President Migz Zubiri told The Adobo Chronicles that he and his colleagues are taking their mandate very seriously — that of conducting public hearings and investigation on national interests “in aid of legislation.”
Some of the scheduled hearings in the next couple of weeks include:
Hearing on a bicycle rider who veered off the designated bike lane along EDSA.
Hearing on a fish vendor who refused to clean the tilapia bought by a customer
Hearing on a P50 shortage in the replenishment of a travel cash advance made by an employee of the Office of the Vice President.
Hearing on the reported increase in the retail prices of balut in Metro Manila. Hearing on the decision of Miss Universe Philippines to forgo of the age limit for aspiring beauty queens.
Hearing on why Gilas Pilipinas did not make it to the finals of the FIBA World Cup held in the Philippines.
Hearing on why MTRCB Chair Lala Santos did not summon her dad and mom for that insensitive kiss on national TV.
Hearing on whether or not the Senate should limit its hearings to issues related to its legislative mandate.
NINOY AQUINO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – The Office of Transportation Security (OTS) person who was caught on CCTV swallowing dollar bills allegedly stolen from a departing passenger at NAIA said the video is misleading.
“I was not swallowing dollar bills, but hopia (Chinese flaky pastry),” she told The Adobo Chronicles.
“There was a throng of departing passengers that moment and it was past my break time, so I had to eat a hopia I brought with me for snack,” she added.
Moral of the story: NAIA should install CCTVs with zoom capabilities in order to avoid any false accusations against its personnel or passengers!
MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Convicted criminal Maria Ressa’s Rappler once more sealed its reputation as the least-trusted news brand in the Philippines!
A new public opinion poll conducted by The Adobo Chronicles showed that Filipinos trust AI (Artificial Intelligence) 100% more than they trust Rappler.
Respondents said that AI beats Rappler hands down in being factual, accurate, comprehensive and unbiased.
Is it any wonder then that Rappler wants AI to be regulated and censored like Maria Ressa and the other Facebook fact checkers censor the Internet?
