Spox Harry Roque To Lead In Observance Of World No Trousers Day January 7

C880B362-46FC-4D64-9797-9C87F68EA27AMANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Remember when Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque hopped onto an MRT train to commiserate with Metro Manila commuters?

Well, he liked it so much that he’s doing it again on January 7, in observance of World No Trousers Day. It is a day when commuters — from San Francisco to London —  drop their trousers while riding the trains to work.

Roque told The Adobo Chronicles that he prepared long and hard for this, shedding a lot of weight in order to look good for the cameras. (See photo for artist’s rendition of Roque sans his trousers.)

Members of the Senate and House of Representatives will be joining Roque in this once-in-a-lifetime commute.

Leni Robredo Beats Duterte To Typhoon-Ravaged Eastern Visayas

09B186CC-508E-40F3-A23B-72ECDDC0E7A7TACLOBAN, Leyte (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Never underestimate a woman, especially if she is Vice President.  She could beat any man in a race to be first.

For several days now, many Filipinos have been wondering why the usually talkative Leni Robredo has been silent over the devastation brought about by typhoon Urduja to the Eastern Visayas.

Well, the wondering is over.

Yesterday, when President Rodrigo Duterte flew over Eastern Visayas to inspect the typhoon damage, he was surprised to spot Robredo already on the ground visiting with victims.

”Naunahan ako ng P*tang *na,” Duterte was overheard saying aboard the Presidential helicopter.

It wasn’t clear whether the Vice President flew by plane or took the bus to the Visayas.

7365C2D9-326D-4E13-ACDB-08AFB18662BBMANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – In a brilliant move to solve the nightmarish traffic along EDSA, the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) today announced that it was reducing the maximum driving speed from 60 to 50 km/hr.

The problem is, nobody told the MMDA that current speed along the major thoroughfare averages at 0 km/hr.

Houston, we’ve got a problem!
