VICE PRESIDENT JEJOMAR BINAY’S GRAND PLAN IF ELECTED PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles® ) – If you live in, or are visiting the Philippines, you can’t really go on a road trip to visit all of the country’s more than 7,000 islands. Along the way, you’ll enncounter water and have to hop onto a ship, barge or boat to get to the next closest island.

But all that is going to change if Vice President Jejomar Binay is elected president in 2016. Forget Metro Manila’s Light Railway System (LRT, MRT). They’re peanuts compared to what Binay has in his presidential blueprint.

Before his 6-year term is over in 2022, the entire Philippines — land and water, from the northernmost tip of Aparri to the southernmost tip of Tawi-Tawi–  will be connected by a high-speed railway system that would put Japan to shame.image

When completed, the Pan-Philippine High-Speed Railway System will become the world’s longest, fastest and scenic mode of mass transportation.

President Aquino’s mantra is “Tuwid na Daan,” (straight path), in reference to his anti-corruption campaign.  For Binay, it will be “Liku-Likong Daan” (crooked path), but via bullet trains.

MURDER CHARGES TO BE FILED AGAINST GERMAN VOLKSWAGEN ROBOT

imageFRANKFURT, Germany (The Adobo Chronicles® ) – In the U.S., corporations are people.  In Germany, robots are people, so when they commit murder, they should be tried in court just like, well, people.

A robot at one of Volkswagen’s production plants in Germany has killed a worker, the German automaker said Wednesday.

The man died Monday at the plant in Baunatal, about 100 kilometres (62 miles) north of Frankfurt, VW spokesman Heiko Hillwig said.

The 22-year-old was part of a team that was setting up the stationary robot when it grabbed and crushed him against a metal plate, Hillwig said.

Prosecutors  were preparing to bring charges against the robot who remains in custody pending bail.

In solidarity with the victim, The Adobo Chronicles®  has decided to auction off its company car, a Volkswagen, on eBay. We will likely replace the company car with a Tesla.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim’s family, and we hope that companies will return to the good old days of employing people, not robots or computers.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, California (The Adobo Chronicles®) – Forgot your password yet again? No worries. There’s  a new technology now in the market that will revolutionize identity recognition for unlocking your smart phone, using the ATM, or gaining access to maximum security areas.

Until recently, fingerprints and the eye’s iris have been the highest standard in identity technology.

Today, Symantec Corporation announced the latest innovation: sneezing into your phone or computer instead of entering a passcode or using your fingerprint or iris.

Symantec is an American technology company headquartered in Mountain View, California. The company makes security, storage, backup and availability software and offers professional services to support its software.

A company spokesperson told The Adobo Chronicles® that the new technology is based on the fact that no two persons sneeze alike. The technology will recognize a person’s sneeze and match it with the identity on record. In addition, the moisture from a person’s sneeze will provide fool-proof identification based on his or her DNA.

The sneeze identity technology, aptly named ‘Gesundheit,’  can be installed on any existing device by dowloading a Symantec software that’s retailing for $129.99.

So the next time you unlock your phone or withdraw money from your bank account, say “Achoo!”

We see a lot of blessings coming our way!
