SAP Bong Go To Rappler And Inquirer: You’re Fake!

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Intending to clear his name over allegations that he intervened in the Navy Frigate deal, Special Assistant to  the President Bong Go said that Rappler and Inquirer have peddled fake news.

The Adobo Chronicles caught up with Go as he was leaving the Senate Chambers and we asked him for other examples of fake news being spread by the news media.

“Thanks for asking,” Go said, “rumors are being spread that I am very interested in running for Senator in 2019. That’s totally false. What’s true is that I intend to run for President in 2022.”

So there you have it, straight from the horse’s mouth.

Got that, Rappler and Inquirer?

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – “Buhay pa ako, binurol niyo na ako!”  This was the reaction of incarcerated Senator Leila De Lima after she was told a “memorial” was recently held in her honor.

A video of the tribute held at the Senate has gone viral, prompting many gullible netizens to believe that the senator had passed away.

In the video, it appears that Senator Kiko Pangilinan orchestrated the “memorial.” He is shown leading the flower offerers into the Senate chamber.

The flowers were laid at De Lima’s desk and chair where her ‘spirit’ was represented by a blue shawl.

The entire drama was caught on video and was documented by mainstream news media.

Pangilinan has a lot of explaining to do the next time he visits De Lima in Camp Crame.

Watch the VIDEO.

Adobo Chronicles Declines Invitation To Malacañang Press Corps

A755DD4A-6FED-46B5-89F0-16869EACB01F.jpegMANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – The Adobo Chronicles was offered a front-row seat as a member of the Malacañang Press Corps (MPC), upon the urging of PCOO Secretary Martin Andanar.

Andanar said that MPC needs to have full diversity of voices — from the Mainstream Media to Internet bloggers.  “We seriously lack more light-hearted yet critical stories in order to fully reflect the day-to-day activities of the President.  The Adobo Chronicles is the best news source to fill that gap,” Andanar added.

However, The Adobo Chronicles respectfully declined the invitation from the MPC, saying  that “we can better serve the news consumers as an independent, and ethics-free organization.”
