Senator Bam Aquino Revises Philippine History, Names His Uncle A National Hero

C680190A-61B5-4F89-B855-3936C0C9446EMANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – It takes a national plebiscite to amend the Philippine Constitution, but apparently, it only takes one clueless Senator to revise history — like naming the country’s National Heroes.

In a single tweet on Araw ng mga Bayani (National Heroes Day), Bam Aquino revised the list of National Heroes by adding his uncle Ninoy — and quite prominently.

While Bam’s cousin Kris must be very happy about this, Filipinos were BUMmed.

Bruno Mars Accuses Seren Sensei Of Cultural Misrepresentation

E91F0890-38B6-4A20-B0C1-9E792E2A3F10HONOLULU, Hawaii (The Adobo Chronicles, Honolulu Bureau) – Singer Bruno Mars is finally breaking his silence after black writer Seren Sensei accused him of cultural appropriation.

Sensei’s comment was made during an online panel discussion on black music. She said Mars was a karaoke and wedding singer.

Today, The Adobo Chronicles caught up with Mars at the Hilton Hawaiian Village where the singer is taking a much-needed R&R from his very busy and successful show business career.

”I leave it to the experts to decide about cultural appropriation,” Mars said.  “However, I think Sensei, with a name like that, is guilty of cultural misrepresentation. She’s no Japanese nor a teacher, so taking on the name all but amounts to fakery and opportunism.”11ECB644-082B-4C30-AC02-6E9C6013526C

Mars was born in Hawaii, to a Puerto Rican father and a Filipina mother.

Multicultural appropriator would have been more appropriate to describe him.  But even that does not do justice to his sheer talent.

New Poll Shows Imee Marcos A Runaway Winner Over Bam Aquino For 2019 Senatorial Race

451F7577-47CF-4015-99E5-A7595847A28FMANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos will trash Bam Aquino in a two-way race for Senator in 2019, according to a new poll conducted this week by The Adobo Chronicles.

Marcos got 97% of the votes, compared to Aquino’s 3%.  Even that 3% that Aquino got falls within the poll’s margin of error — which means it’s possible that Marcos’ tally will be 100%.

Talk about a new generation of Marcos-Aquino rivalry, albeit heavily leaning towards Marcos.

Where is the much-ballyhooed ‘The Resistance,’ Senator Aquino?
