Senator Leila De Lima Finally Admits She’s Completely Clueless

QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles,  Quezon City Bureau) – She has admitted to her “frailties as a woman” before, but for the first time, incarcerated Senator Leila De Lima says she is “completely clueless.”

De Lima’s admission came in the form of a handwritten note emanating from her jail cell at the Philippine National Police Headquarters in Quezon City.

No worries, Madam De Lima.  You are not alone.  Many of your esteemed colleagues in the Senate are, too.

Rappler’s Maria Ressa Wants Total Facebook Ban In The Philippines

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Remember when Rappler CEO and crybaby Maria Ressa accused Facebook of failing to “moderate its greed?” She all but blamed the social media networking giant for sowing political divisions among the public and allowing the proliferation of online “trolls” and “fake news.”

Well, Miss Crybaby is crying some more.  This time with a vengeance.

Despite being  designated as one of Facebook’s fact-checking partners in the Philippines, Ressa now wants a total ban on Facebook in the country, simply because Rappler has failed in its  self-imposed role as gatekeeper of accurate information on social media.

”We’ve tried our best to fact-check news and information on Facebook but fake news keeps on coming and coming,” she told The Adobo Chronicles.

Ressa said the Philippines should follow the good example of China which has banned Facebook since 2009.

“If there is no longer Facebook, there will also be no more fake news,” she added.

Netizens Have Spoken: They Consider Rappler To Be Fake News

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) –  In a nationwide poll conducted by The Adobo Chronicles, netizens overwhelmingly said they consider Maria Ressa’s Rappler as fake news. Make that unanimously.

The poll asked respondents to vote on whether they would consider Rappler to be fake news, or fake news.

On the first day of the 6-day poll, 573 said Rappler was fake news, and 154 said it was fake news as well, for an aggregate total of 100%.

We tried to reach Ressa for comment, but we were told by her personal assistant that she was busy fundraising for legal fees  she expects to cough up in connection with her tax evasion case, as well as for the survivial of her online news portal.
