Facebook, Rappler Unveil New Logos

SAN FRANCISCO, California (The Adobo Chronicles, San Francisco Bureau) – Social networking giant Facebook has unveiled its new logo  and so has Rappler, the online news source headed by crybaby Maria Ressa. (Rappler is one of the fact-checking partners of Facebook in the Philippines.)

May their old logos rest in peace.

Rappler’s Pia Ranada Allowed Back In Malacanang

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – It pays to tell the truth or at least help in spreading it.

For her fact-checking article defending  Rodrigo Duterte amid reports that the President received humiliating treatment while in Japan to attend the enthronemnt of Emperor Naruhito, Rappler’s star reporter Pia Ranada is now allowed back in Malacanang.

It will be recalled that Ranada was previously barred from the Palace grounds and from being a part of the Malacanang Press briefings.

However, Rappler CEO Maria Ressa isn’t necessarily happy about this new development.  She told The Adobo Chronicles that she can no longer claim that Rappler’s Press Freedom is being curtailed by the Duterte government.

Just swallow your pride, Ms. Ressa.  Your claims don’t add up to reality anyways…

Malacanang: President Duterte Wasn’t Using A Cane

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Malacanang has finally broken its silence amid all the rumors and speculation arising from President Rodrigo Duterte’s health status and the unbearable pain he experienced while in Japan to attend the enthronement of Emperor Naruhito.

Photos of Duterte  using a cane dominated mainstream as well as social media, prompting critics to demand that the Palace release a medical bulletin on the President.

Today, the Presidential Communications Coordinating Office (PCOO) released an unedited photo of Duterte while in Japan showing the alleged cane he was using to help him walk.

Lo and behold,  it wasn’t a cane.  It was a selfie stick!

Now we can all put the rumors and speculation to rest!

Congratulations, PCOO.  You are finally doing your job.
