MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Vice President and Presidential Aspirant Leni Robredo is up for any challenge being posed by her critics and political opponents.
First, Robredo accepted an earlier challenge from Senator Manny Pacquiao regarding in-person debates for the 2022 elections, saying that “mahirap yung debate kung nagsasagutan lang.” (debate is difficult if one is just answering questions).
Now Robredo also said that she is willing to undergo an IQ test to prove that she is fit and ready to become President, and while at it, also a drug test.
MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Online news source Rappler and other Philippine mainstream news media seem to be very obsessed over former Senator and Presidential aspirant Bongbong Marcos’ diploma from the University of Oxford
They have gone the lengths of contacting Oxford alumni, Marcos’ classmates and even janitors working in the university.
Fed up with all the hullabaloo over the issue, Oxford finally issued an official confirmation that yes, Marcos got a prestigious special diploma from the prestigious university.
That should put the media frenzy to rest. In peace.
QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Quezon City Bureau) – As reported by The Manila Bullletin, Vice President, Presidential aspirant, and widow of an Aquino cabinet member who died in a plane crash Leni Robredo has come out in the open to encourage vote-buying in the Philippines. Vote-buying is illegal in the country.
In a quote attributed to her, Robredo all but said that it is okay for Filipino voters to accept money from candidates who wish to pay for their votes, as long as they still vote according to their conscience.
Netizens immediately chastised Robredo for undermining voters’ integrity and commitment to fulfill their paid agreements with the paying candidates.
Still, others said they are open to being paid by the Robredo camp while still voting for Bongbong Marcos.
