STRAIGHT MAN WHO BROKE GRAMMY WINNER SAM SMITH’S HEART WANTS TO GET BACK TOGETHER

imageLOS ANGELES, California (The Adobo Chronicles) – Openly-gay singer Sam Smith has always been open about the heartbreak that led him to write the songs for his debut album, including Song of the Year and Record of the Year, ‘Stay With Me.’

That heartbreak was, of course, due to a straight man he fell in love with.

But after Smith’s four Grammys last night, the same straight man now wants to get back together.

In a tweet sent to Smith at the conclusion of the telecast, the man said, ‘Congratulations for your multiple Grammys. You need someone to share them with. Let’s get back together, like old times. I love you!’

When asked by The Adobo Chronicles for his reaction to the twitter message, Smith said, “Yes, I definitely need someone to share my Grammys with — and that’s my current gay boyfriend.

Is it the straight man’s turn to be heartbroken?

KANYE WEST BARRED FROM ALL FUTURE AWARDS SHOWS

imageLOS ANGELES, California ( The Adobo Chronicles) – He did it again. Rapper Kanye West reprised his most infamous stunt at Sunday night’s Grammy awards, taking the stage as Beck was accepting the album of the year award. West popped up on stage and moved toward Beck as if he was about to take the trophy from him. Instead, West turned away and quickly jumped down.

Beck beat out both the night’s top winner, Sam Smith, and the category’s expected winner, Beyoncé.

The incident was a repeat of the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, when West accosted Taylor Swift during her acceptance speech after Swift’s “You Belong With Me” beat Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies” for Female Video of the Year.

“Yo, Taylor, I’m really happy for you, I’ma let you finish,” West said after taking the microphone at Radio City Music Hall, “but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time! One of the best videos of all time!”

West was roundly criticized for his action and was even called a “jackass” by no less than President Obama.

After this latest incident, organizers of the major awards shows like the Grammys, MTV Video Music Awards, People’s Choice Awards and the Oscars have unanimously agreed to disinvite and bar West from their respective ceremonies. The television networks that air these awards programs also joined in the ‘West boycott.’

No more Kanye West on live TV! And Beyoncé just lost her most loyal cheerleader.

NFL NOT TAKING ANY CHANCES IN SUPER BOWL XLIX NATIONAL ANTHEM

PHOENIX, Arizona (The Adobo Chronicles) – John Travolta introduced her as Adele Dazeem at last year’s Academy Awards. She is none other than Broadway star Idina Menzel, who sang the Oscar-winning Best Song, ‘Let It Go’ from the Disney animated film ‘Frozen.’

The Tony award winner, 43, was just announced as the singer of the national anthem at this Sunday’s Super Bowl XLIX (that’s 49 for the Roman Numeral-challenged).

Despite its confidence in Menzel, the National Football League (NFL) is not taking any chances.   It doesn’t want a repeat of the many instances when celebrity singers messed up with the lyrics of the ‘Star-Spangled Banner.’

So, the NFL has decided to project the lyrics of the National Anthem on the stadium’s giant screens to make sure Menzel is not only perfect in pitch but also flawless in words.

Plus, the audience and television viewers can sing along. Now, that would be very patriotic!

As for the half-time show performer Katy Perry… well, she will be Katy Perry.
