Trump Campaign Clarifies Donald’s ‘Purple Heart’ Comment

ARLINGTON, Virginia (The Adobo Chronicles, Washington Bureau)- Speaking at a campaign rally in Virginia, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump caught the ire of many war veterans and their families by saying, “A man came up to me and handed me his Purple Heart… I always wanted to get the Purple Heart. This was much easier.”

The Purple Heart is a United States military decoration awarded in the name of the President to those wounded or killed while serving with the U.S. military.

Immediately, the Trump campaign sought to do some damage control by issuing a clarifying statement that said what Trump meant to say was “Purple Rain.”

Apparently, the GOP presidential nominee who has never served in the U.S. military, is an avid fan of the late Prince, and that he had always wanted to get a signed copy of the singer’s “Purple Rain” album.

In Honor Of Hillary Clinton, The Kardashians And Taylor Swift Kiss And Make Up

LOS ANGELES, California (The Adobo Chronicles, Los Angeles Bureau) – The ongoing feud between Kanye West/Kim Kardashian and Taylor Swift is finally coming to an end, thanks to presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

Who could forget the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards when West accosted Taylor Swift during her acceptance speech after Swift’s “You Belong With Me” beat Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies” for Female Video of the Year. “Yo, Taylor, I’m really happy for you, I’ma let you finish,” West said after taking the microphone at Radio City Music Hall, “but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time! One of the best videos of all time!”

And then there’s the song, “Famous” in which West raps about Taylor:

“I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex
Why? I made that bitch famous (God damn)
I made that bitch famous”

But in the spirit of unity and “moving forward,” as espoused by Clinton, the trio have decided to end their rift and promised to campaign for Hillary to become the next president of the United States.

Kim’s parents are known to be Republicans and she has voted Republican until she met West.

Swift, on the other hand, performed at the 2008 Republican National Convention and once wrote on her MySpace page, “Republicans do it better.” But she is also known to be a supporter of President Obama.

So, from here on, it’s “moving forward” (with Hillary). Kim Kardashian. Kanye West. Taylor Swift. Best of friends, all!

Why De Lima, Aquino And Roxas Oppose Transferring Prison Inmates To Island

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Philippines’ Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II is “seriously considering” the transfer of two high-profile drug lords at the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) to a prison island. But Senator Leila de Lima, former President NoyNoy Aquino and former Interior Secretary and presidential candidate Mar Roxas are all opposed to the move.

Aguirre, of course, is referring to convicted drug lords Peter Co and Herbert Colangco who were among the top tier drug lords named by President Rodrigo Duterte.

Colangco, in particular, is known to have his own music recording studio in his prison cell at NBP.

De Lima, Aquino and Roxas told The Adobo Chronicles that transferring the NBP inmates — especially Colangco — would deprive them of a convenient rehearsal and hangout venue for their passion for karaoke singing.

Unconfirmed reports say that the three former officials have used Colango’s NLB recording studio many times in the past for private karaoke sessions. They are appealing to Aguirre to reconsider his decision.
