Rappler Can’t Tell The Difference Between Advocate And News Source

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Rappler and Maria Ressa once said that The Adobo Chronicles can’t tell the difference between satire and fake news, but that has been long debunked.

Now, the tables are turned.

Rappler which claims to be a reliable source of truth and news seems to confuse its mandate with advocacy.

Case in point: it is advocating for the immediate release of former Senator Leila de Lima which which is not within the purview of a non-partisan, non-political, non-biased news media.

But we’re The Adobo Chronicles. So we can make fun of Rappler’s memes as a way of calling attention to its bias, political leaning, mediocrity and cluelessness.

Did Balita.net.ph Cross The Line In Reporting On Doggie Style Between Celebrity Couple?

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – It was definitely a juicy story that Balita.net.ph posted on celebrity couple John Estrada and Priscilla Meirelles.

But did the news site cross the line when it reported that “doggie” makes Priscilla happy?

Moreover, was it a violation of social media community standards?

Well, it turns out Balita was not talking about sexual positions but a real doggie named Koko.

But it does make Priscilla happy, that’s for sure! So censors and fact checkers have nothing to worry about.

US Television Networks Do A “Yin and Yang,” Fire Their Top Anchors!

ATLANTA, Georgia (The Adobo Chronicles, Atlanta Bureau) – The rival U.S. television networks, CNN and Fox News did a “Yin and Yang” move on the same day by firing their top anchors.

CNN announced the firing of Don Lemon while Fox News let go of Carson Tucker.

The “Yin and Yang” we refer to had nothing to do with black and white. Rather, opposite political leanings.

CNN is known to be leaning liberal while Fox, conservative.

This “balancing act” sent shockwaves to the broadcast industry here and abroad.
